Amen, bt i think Christina is better than beyonce, musically, lyrically, vocally, and her music has much more substance than beyonces so you should group her into the second list with Teena Marie, TLC, Tina Tunrer, and all them..

btw, Teena Marie is my Favorite Singer of all time!! hands down..

yeah, dont double discs count as 2 units? so she sells 500000 units to go platinum & she probably has at least 500000 hardcore fans will buy the deluxe edition too, so she goes 2x platinum from just 500000 beyonce fanatics. i wonder if this a mathew knowles strategy? i wouldnt want to credit him for that good of an idea, but i guess it wouldnt take a rocket scientist to think of it.

TLC, Lauryn Hill, Michael janet & dianna ross cannot hold a candlelight to beyonce vocally and in live performances

she would give aretha and mariah tina & teena a run for their money if she was their age back then
beyonce is not a mediocre vocally so dont even try to act like she just a pop queen wit no talent

as far as xtina
xtina growls and roars and calls that singing fuck dat she sounds terrible live and her tone alone is preety nervewrecking

the only thing is beyonces music quality you can jump off a cliff wit da rest of that mess

Um, no. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Beyonce's power is great for Destiny's Child; it's not great in the world of singing. Comparing her to top level vocalists in the industry is just wrong. She's slightly above average in singing, but her voice is still rather common.

Michael Jackson had much better range than Beyonce, even though he did not have a volumous voice. He was also an excellent dancer, who others try to emulate to this day *cough* Usher *cough*. Let's not forget his musicianship and his ability to produce signature and ecclectic sounds which led to his string of hits.

Christina has a richer tone than Beyonce, although it is not the richest. In addition, I believe that you are confusing how Christina chooses to express herself as an artist with whether or not she can sing. Did I mention that she can easily outsing Beyonce?

Anyway, I'm digressing as this thread is about Beyonce and I do not how all of these other artists were innocently pulled into this thread. Back to the subject at hand...

I would be a fool to say that Beyonce has no talent. However, the extent of her talent is horribly exaggerated by her fans, especially since she is a popular artist right now.

Technically, the standard edition is like a double EP, I wouldnt even consider it a full length, the deluxe edition may be, if each disc goes over 30 mins.

MoePhoenix! i also LOOOOVE Lauryn Hill (wish she would release an album soon)

I kinda like Single ladies but honestly its quite the flopper. I think Bee has a decent voice and dancing, but she needs stronger singles to stand out.

The only song i've heard from her new album, other than If I Were A Boy & Single Ladies is Halo. It's amazing. Lately i've found myself liking Beyonce's music more and more, especially the three tracks i've heard from her new album, and i've never relaly been too fussed about her music before.

I like the new direction she's taking with her music.

Does anybody remember one of her songs, "Forever To Bleed" that leaked a few months ago?

If so, does anyone know if it made it onto the new album, under a different name? "Sweet Dreams" did, so i'm jsut wondering if the "Forever to Bleed" song did too?

I think I know the song to which you were referring; it's called Should Have (Now I Know). At least that was the original name for it. I have yet to hear the leaks at this point, so I cannot say. So Beautiful Nightmare is now called Sweet Dreams?

I do know one thing, the New Shoes song was nixed. That sounded like Irreplaceable, Part 2, if anyone heard that song. No one I knew liked that song.

Well, it wasn't techinally hers, it was written for her, but she declined it as she was too busy and her managers ect. couldn't fit it into her recording schedule.

Beyonce was the offered the song, so she recorded it. Many people are saying that Leona would have done a better job of it, with her soft voice, but i think Beyonce's nailed. It's such a powerful song in terms of lyrics, so i think Beyonce's voice matches it well.

I like the cd. It's pretty good. But as a huge Leona fan, I just don't think 'Halo' would work well for voice. I think it fits Beyonce better.
