Are they assuming covering it means that it's out? Maybe it has to do with the order they're covered in. Like you take the first letter of each to spell a word.

The silver statue appears to be of a four legged animal. Possibly a big or a boar I can't tell

Also I the crack in teh egg is around the top as if it were hatching
