Pansy isnt really homophobic thing. You're kinda being the homophobic one if you automatically assume he is making it into being about someone gay.

Well it would appear the dictionary is homophobic

–noun, plural -sies. 1. a violet, Viola tricolor hortensis, cultivated in many varieties, having richly and variously colored flowers. 2. the flower of this plant. 3. Slang: Disparaging and Offensive. a. a male homosexual. b. a weak, effeminate, and often cowardly man.

I think the show is editing Lydia too nicely. At this point, they're making it look like she's just doing whatever it takes to stay in the game. I mean, I can appreciate a gamer. That's not what Lydia is doing though. She's making unnecessary moves and stabbing people in the back for no reason. Even when she was off the block and completely safe, she continued throwing people under the bus and continued stabbing people in the back for no reason whatsoever.

I feel the same way about her lack of game. I can respect ruthlessness and manipulation but the bitch actually means the crazy shit she says.

And I can't believe someone that it so righteously outraged about racial comments Braeden made that they believe no one should even consider keeping him around would had defended and subsequently forgotten the racially insensitive things Libra said about Angie last year but hey people let personal preferences color actiosn any way they want.

I'm not up for reopening the argument as to whether people 'should' shun someone for being 'racist' morally but from a game perspective hell yeah they're gonna at least think about keeping him. It's a game with limited players and limited moves where numbers are important. Why wouldn't people try to discern which option is better for their personal gameplay before voting?
I never said it was ok that Libra was making fun of Angie's Asian heritage. I never defended her doing the slanted eyes thing but at the time I couldnt find a clip of it only a screencap. And to be fair a screencap of her doing slanted eyes could mean anything. I'm not saying anyone was lying but is different then hearing/seeing someone being called a mexican beaner. I dont get your purpose bringing that up really.

And I guess we can all have our opinions but I'm not one of those people that thinks everything, besides hitting, should be acceptable in this game. IMO there is a such thing as going too far. Maybe you would accept that shit to some extent. i personally would have nothing to do with that person.

Yea I saw that too. The dicitionary is homophobic. Thanks

I think falconfan's point in bringing up Libra is that you would "have [something] to do with that person" if you were already biased in favor of them. You liked Libra, you defended her, and even now you're defending her for what was an obvious racist comment. "Slanted eyes can mean anything?" Are you kidding me dude? I mean...really? That's what you're going with? Holy fuckballs! I call bullshit on that line right now, because I know you're smarter than that! And because I don't think little of you or your intelligence, I'm going to say that you know that line is bullshit too. Jesus H. Christ on a stick, you can do better than that aijalon! I expect that out of some other posters, but not you.

Look, enough people with the live feeds heard her say it, and the point is you excused her. Oh you made sure and came out "officially" against it, while mitigating it with the kind of toothless defense you administered above (Wow, still my jaw drops every time I re-read that line. Slanted eyes can mean anything. That is so awesomely bullshitty it could have come out of Justice Roberts or Justice Scalia in defense of whatever shitty judgment they're handing down on a case involving race), but you also continued to support her and didn't expect the rest of the house to evict her just because of that one comment. I think that's falconfan's point. And there's nothing wrong with you doing that btw, but then don't pretend now that you never would excuse someone for a bigoted comment, or that you couldn't continue to think that they're a good person despite that flaw.

Anyway like I said, I disagree with falonfan in terms of personal prefences when it comes to bigots (I think he's a little too over-accommodating on that score) but I agree with him completely that my judgment is a luxury because I'm not a player in the game. Were I a player in the game, I'd have no problem putting up with a bigot for a couple more weeks if it advanced my own game somehow. That's not endorsing what they say or do by any means, it's just exploiting the particular dynamics of personalities to advance myself in a game.
I meant to say it LOOKED like she was doing slanted eyes but to me, it is possible it was something else. I wanted to see an actual clip. Unfortunately no one had one. It wasnt straight up slanted eyes like Miley Cyrus. I'm not saying it because it was Libra and I'm trying to defend her that is honestly how I felt. There's no reason for me to lie. I dont give gay people a free pass for bad behavior, just like I dont give people of color a free pass either. And frankly I didnt love Libra but I didn like her being singled out and called a bitch and given subliminal racist mistreatment. If people were to condemn her for the Angie comments that would have been fine. But most of the criticism had nothing to do with that. She was being bashed for things that Keesha was also guilty of but people were ignoring it.

I just watched tonight's episode and I'm wondering why Ronnie even told Braden and his team about the plan?!?! How does that even benefit Ronnie this early in the game? He needs to keep his mouth shut or he'll be next to go. He should be trying to save Chima, not freaking Braden.

Thus far, Michele is playing the best game so far... just let everyone else fight and do the dirty work.

BTW, Russell's fucking hot. What nationality might he be? He kind of reminds me of a friend of mine.

Bottom line: she made the racist comment and you had no problem liking her. That's all. And that's fine, but don't assume a moral high-ground then and tell other people that they're doing something wrong by excusing bigoted comments for people they like. Because you did the same thing buddy (and you're continuing to do it).

Look, I don't wanna fight with you. I'm glad you can speak so well about race discourse and its implications and most of your posts on the matter are good ones, and need to be heard more (and lord knows I've waited for a partner in crime on this board in that area!) so for that I thank you. But let me give you a tip: you don't do a service to your cause simply by siding with -- and refusing to criticize -- every black woman on a reality show. And yes dear, you do that. It's painfully obvious, and quite frankly, tiresome. I've been dancing the rigadoon around that one for a while, but my feet are tired. There it is.

You are to black women on reality TV what joesman is to gays on reality TV. Blank check, free pass etc.
Ok... youre wrong. I didnt hear/see a racist comment. If you can produce the clip I'd be happy to call her racist and disown the bitch. I didnt give Libra a free pass. NO ONE had the clip. And what other black woman did I give a free pass? The only other black women I recall supporting was Taj and Crystal on Survivor. But as far as I know neither had any racial drama. I have no opinion of Jameka and I dont recall having much to do with Danielle. Where are all these sistas Ive making excuses for? I'd really like to know.

^^ There's also Chima this season who you've bent over backwards to defend. If anyone else had made that "diva" comment or acted the way she acted after the competition, I doubt you'd have any problem calling them a prissy, stuck-up bitch. Also, please stop with this "Where is the clip?" More than one person heard her say it, there is a picture of her with slanted eyes, and I'm sure if enough reliable people had told you "Jeff said this" or "Braden said that" you wouldn't have demanded to see/hear it for yourself.
That's not true. From the beginning I said it was a dumb thing to say and it could get her in trouble. I just could understand why she would be so frustrated with her team. Also, by the time that show was broadcast, due to feeds, I knew she had changed her tune anyway. I always maintained it was dumb and Ill admit she was being a stuck up bitch. I dont have to criticize everything to prove I'm not favoring black girls. If there was a black girl being homophobic I'd be all over that ass.

And I have said throughout this thread I'm indifferent to Chima at this point. You cant tell me I only defended her because she is a person of color.I also took issue with how harshly Natalie is being treated just because she's in with Jessie. She's been forced to have Jessie on her team and she is doing what she thinks is best.I defend all kinds of people for all kinds of things.

And you are ABSOLUTELY wrong about that last part. That actually makes me angry. I take racism and homophobia very seriously and I would NEVER say anything without seeing/hearing the clip. I read about what Jeff and Braden said first and I didnt take a position until I saw the clip both times. I wanted to know the context and hear it for myself. You have no right to make those assumptions

Hello? You missed the glory days of original MTV programming, the late 1990's.

La la la, la la... you're standing on my neck.

Actually I didn't. I know all about Daria(I wasn't a fan of the show but I know what it was and where it came from).

But Yeah...Braden said some racist shit now?

Well it's good that you apologized for THAT part. We can carry on. But to me it is a big deal to assume I would take someone else's word for something like that. It is so easy for people to misunerstand. Even if it was my dad I who told me I'd have to hear for myself or confront the person to ask them about it. And as far as the other crap you can keep your wrong assumption u ass.

It's like the boy who cried wolf. If you call things racist and they are found to be untrue, when something really racist happens people are not gonna believe you. And really bad things can happen. So I definitely NEED to verify. I dont know if you can understand why I got so worked up.

Wow...this has to be the first season of BB that I have watch where I don't have one single favorite, and multiple people who annoy me. I am hoping the dynamics changes with the next HOH, I am tired of Russell walking around like he is the top dog. Let's hope that there is a twist where some more people come into the house...this current cast is boring.

Jeff really doesn't do anything but defend what he says he didn't say and yet he has said everything everyone has accused him of saying. He and Jordan are like glued at the hip. He is not playing a game. Braden finally started campaigning and I hope he goes home because he is useless as a player.

Ronnie is way over playing. He is also dumb enough to believe that everyone believes him. I think Jordan is the only one and she doesn't know what she says to him goes right back to the other side, and vice versa. Also he got drunk and jumped in the pool on a dare, giggled like a silly ass and tried to do a jig. He so desperately wants to be accepted.

I agree...Corky needs to go.

Did anyone else catch the late night drama between Chima and Daria? Something about a toilet seat. I don't get it...if my ass were on the block I wouldn't be starting shit until after it was safe.

I am conflicted about Chima. I want to like her but her rigidness over petty things is annoying. Considering that she lived in a sorority house, she should be more adept to living with other people. Maybe it was the alcohol talking.

Daria and Daddy DJ are still my favorites.

I get that when you are in a heated confrontation you do say things like that. My reasoning for not liking Jeff is several things he said regarding race and sexuality outside of that argument. I dont have the clips anymore but it was his attitude and reaction to other things Braden said. Braden also made comments about him not getting movie roles because he's not a big nosed Jew. Jeff and Jordan either just laughed or sat there. That's just how Jeff reacted to the mexican beaner thing. I personally have a problem with people who condone racist behavior even if they didnt say it. Other people can feel how they want to feel about it. That's just why I dont like Jeff not that single Russell argument. ANd personalitywise, I find him no better than Jessie and Russell. IMO he's just on the other end of they want.

Eh... Lisa Lampanelli says worse shit than that, LoL. Those jokes don't bother me unless I know they're coming from an ugly place. It depends on the context and who's saying it.

Anyway, many things are condoned in the Big Brother house that probably shouldn't be. If I was competing for $500,000 and I heard one of my only "allies" making a joke about Jewish people's noses, I'd probably shut my mouth and laugh too. When it comes to half a million dollars, you've gotta bite your tongue and play along if you want to keep your allies. That doesn't mean you necessarily agree with everything they say though.

Yeah going on BB means throwing out any shred of self respect that you have for money/fame.

^I actually love Lisa Lampinelli's comedy. But I dont think this is the same. Ive seen many of her specials and interviews. It comes from a place of humor and understanding. Braden wasnt telling jokes. He was a bitter white guy blaming Jews for his lack of success.
