That wasn't my point, but perhaps I should have been clearer. Look I've watched every season of this show and I've had the live feeds for all of them (I just bought the feeds for BB11 as well) so trust me when I say, the average BB houseguest is a trashy, inarticulate, unworldly, intellectually incurious, selfish person with serious anger issues and/or psychological/emotional problems. That doesn't make them bad people (some of my personal favorites fall into this category as well) but I would seriously be embarrassed to ever act in public -- screaming, walking up to people in a threatening manner etc -- the way Lydia, Russell, Braden, Chima and Natalie have acted (and I'm sure they won't be the only ones before the season is over). And the same goes for Renny, Keesha, Libra, April, Ollie, Jerry, Memphis (at least once) and Michelle last season. Really, the way these people blow up is humiliating, appalling, (OK yes, entertaining), and completely degenerate behavior. One would hope this isn't typical American behavior that I've just been sheltered from all my life, and that BB is instead just actively recruiting unhinged people. My point therefore is that people like Dan are rare on this show because they're not that trashy and that's what I'm giving him credit for.
Um, no. She was in on the discussions and why they should keep Braden. And no, it's not because she supports bigotry. You keep ignoring the point that had this plan gone the way they thought it would go, the people voting for Braden would have 7 people playing for HOH vs 4 people playing and one of those 4 (for Velma Dinkley) couldn't nominate her if she won HOH anyway! Also, keeping Braden keeps a huge target in the house which every good player should know (from watching Will) is a sound strategy.
Velma Dinkley has been relatively laid back, has thrown competitions and has tried not to make waves (she smartly and quickly made up with Chima after their fight on the live feeds and Chima -- to her credit -- was amenable. They hugged and everything) and has given us
absolutely no indication that she is voting on anything other than what's best for herself game-wise. She's easily the least crazy person in the house and
obviously the most intelligent/academic/accomplished. Do you know how often BB casts PhD recipients? Hell do you know how often they cast people who can form complete, articulate sentences? Say what you will about her personality, but Velma Dinkley is anything but stupid if only because -- like Dan -- she is not the typical BB cast member.
But of course, she must be voting emotionally because she voted against Chima.
Aijalon, I may have to start calling you
