^^^^ Isn't the stipulation on accepting the right to open Pandora's Box and take to veto is not to tell anyone. Better to not tell.

What is with these lame suggestions for the saboteur and why does he get to choose which "ANNOUNCEMENT" he wants to make. So far has he done anything that he might get caught doing?

Are we going to have a Lane and Britney shomance now and Matt likes his bromance with Ragan. What a year for love.

Not that they would 100% believe him but he had a good reason for keeping it to himself. When he got the power didn't the note with it say something about him losing it if he told the other houseguest?

Lane went up because Brendan wanted to get out Ragan and Lane was a sure bet to oust him. That plan didn't work, so now more interesting things will come about. Thursday's live show should be electric.

^ Oh this should be interesting.

I'd just like to say that I really hate this year's airing schedule. Telling us to tune in on WEDNESDAY to find out things that happened in the house YESTERDAY is just ridiculous.

The houseguests just received a saboteur message telling them to get some rest tonight because there's going to be a competition tomorrow that will change the course of the game. Apparently it alluded to some kind of special power, but since the DPOV is still in play, I bet this is just Ragan's way of fucking with everyone. Maybe he wants everyone in bed early so he can actually do some kind of hands-on sabotage.

The good news is, Matt seems to be going up. The bad news is (if you're a Brit fan like me) Im not convinced Matt will put Kathy up when he diamonds himself. Before Brendan seemed to settle on Matt, Matt was coaching the Brigade on how to get Brendan to nominate Britney and he seemed pretty set on it. That coupled with the fact that he has been subtly undermining Britney with Ragan (or attempting to, Ragan usually defends her) worried me; Matt will certainly use his diamond if he's nominated, but there's a chance he may out up Britney!

The awesomest thing would be if -- between now and Thursday -- Matt figures out that The Brigade has already turned against him (they're talking about getting him out if they win HOH next week and Hayden outright told Brendan to put up Matt) and if he used the diamond to put up Enzo or Hayden instead! Thatbwould be the coolest move of the season but Ihave no hope of it happening and I fear Britney isn't out of trouble yet.

I'm definitely really worried about the possibility of Brit going up but hte reality is Lane isn't getting evicted and Brendan isn't nominating Kathy. The best and really ONLY chance Brit has is if Matt uses the diamond and puts up someone else.

The hope I do have for this is Brit said Matt actually WANTED her to try and get Brendan to nominate him instead of her... why would he do that if he just intended to put up Brit himself?

I think the reason Matt is pushing for Brendon to put Britney up is because he knows she's the only other logical candidate (other than himself). He doesn't want Britney gone, but if it comes down to her vs. him, of course he's going to want her to go up instead.

If Brendon puts Matt on the block and he uses the DPOV to save himself, I think he'll put Kathy up as the replacement nominee. Or Enzo if he finds out about Enzo's duplicity. He knows Ragan would be royally pissed if he put Britney up and he doesn't want to piss off his closest ally. Plus Matt is fond of Britney himself.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Matt just deferred to Brendon and let him choose the replacement nominee come Thursday night -- that way, Matt gets to save himself but he also keeps his hands clean and he doesn't lose a jury vote. That's all he's worried about at this point, IMO. Making it to the end and gaining as many jury votes as possible.

I think if he uses the diamond veto then he HAS to choose a replacement. It's all part of the deal.

Matt was trying to get himself nominated because he knew he would be safe with the DPOV. However, I think he started to fear that Brendon might've won some kind of power in Pandora's Box that would trump his DPOV, hence his sudden 180 and not wanting to go on the block.

Also, I think he realized he would lose a jury vote if he used the DPOV and was directly responsible for, say, Kathy's eviction. If he avoids being nominated from the get-go, he can maintain his safety without having to get his hands dirty and potentially lose a jury vote.

It's all about sequencing dear. Matt wanted Brendan to nominate him BEFORE he started saying he wanted Britney to go up. I think Salemite has his finger on the pulse of it: Matt would rather not have to use the Diamond at all, he became afraid of Brendan getting a power to trump his Diamond when Brendan opened Pandora (hence his switch to "nominate Britney") but if it came down to it, he'd use the Diamond and most likely put up Kathy. I certainly hope that last part is true.

Unfortunately this means Matt is unlikely to realize the Brigade has turned on him and backdoor one if them instead.

I'm also not convinced Brendan didn't also get a power when he opened Pandora. I doubt Rachel being unleashed on the House (which seems like the "bad" part of that deal on par with unleashing the saboteur) for 24 hours is enough of a prize for Brendan (especially since he didn't get to see or talk to her at all). It's possible Brendan got his own awesome power from the box (maybe even another Diamond?) and we won't find out about it until tomorrow's show.

Britney and Hayden are talking.

Britney is throwing Matt under the bus to Hayden... saying she doesn't trust him and she wants him to go. Hayden is nodding and not saying much of anything. He obviously agrees with her but he doesn't want to show his cards too much.

Britney says she thinks Hayden is a good guy with lots of integrity and she really trusts him. (Unfortunately for Britney, Hayden will probably run back and tell Matt that she's throwing him under the bus when it benefits his game somehow...)

Aside from this Brit/Hayden conversation, there's not much going on in the house right now.

According to Brendon, he didn't get a power by opening Pandora's Box. He's been telling everyone that he was taken away to a spa in Malibu for 24 hours and that was his only prize.

All in all I'm still pretty nervous Brit could go this week, but I remain impressed wish her short term gameplay (as falconfan called it). You didn't really see it fully on tonight's episode, but she really worked Brendan before the nominations into not putting her up, deftly zoning in on his respect for "competitors" and pointing out -- repeatedly -- that she had 3 POVs under her belt and could help him win necessary competitions. Notice who Brendan did nominate: Ragan and Lane, both of whom have not won z single competition but more importantly (from Brendan's point of view) both of whom seem to have thrown comps in the past (unlike Kathy and Enzo who everyone believes just naturally suck at comps). Brendan does not respect comp-throwers and floaters and he respected (he said this himself) that Britney even won POVs she didn't need to win.

That Britney knew which button to push indicates that she has some game, however short sighted it may be.

Well and I could tell you I'm really Scarlet Johansson, would you believe me? If Brendan got a special power, he wouldn't be able to talk about it any more than Matt could talk about the Diamond.

Or do you mean Brendan had one of his late night soliloquies where he told the live feed watchers that he didn't get anything besides a spa? He does have a tendency go talk to himself about himself a lot!

Kathy is still throwing Britney under the bus to Brendon.

Bitch never stops.

.

Ugh! She can do amazing damage control, but she's too often cleaning up her own mess. I know she doesn't know about the Diamond and she probably wants to save Lane but she needs to just shut the fuck up sometimes. Her mouth gets her in trouble just as often ad it gets her out of it, and if she's not careful, Matt could just backdoor her narrow ass this week.

I'm so tired of Kathy. Not because of this but just in general. Bitch needs to go back and just be the sheriff of Gator Country already.

Oh sorry, deputy sheriff.

Agreed. I love Britney but she needs to learn how to keep her mouth shut. Her big yapper will be her ultimate downfall in the game, IMO.
