The Official "Big Brother 12" Discussion Thread!

I actually feel for Rachel though. I wasn't really on her side in the beginning, but now I'm starting to see that if she or Brenden don't win H.O.H or POV one or both of them will undoubtedly go up and ultimately go home. Almost everyone in the house except for maybe Ragan and Kathy are basically going after "Brenchel" the first chance they get.

From what I read on Jokers, Rachel has put up Hayden and Kristen. Brendan supposedly got mad with Rachel because of a speech she gave at PoV noms.

This is why you shouldn't produce a show and be a fan of it.

You end up drinking your own Kool-Aid. Allison Grodner likes seeing Brendon and Rachel kissing, which is why it's always plastered on the screen. Oh, and they sequestered just in case they wanted to make up a new twist at the last moment. And how does Allison still say with a straight face that the producers don't manipulate the show?

Oh and by the way, if Hayden or Allison leave this week, this will be FOUR (4) evictions that had little meaning in the longer run. Four weak players eliminated in a row.

I feel so blah this season... I have no Dan I have no Jessie I have no one who I have any strong emotional attachment to one way or another. Maybe it's because I'm not watching them feedwise (maybe it's vice versa) either way my intial excitement was for Rachel and Brenden and then Rachel turned out to be so grating and OBSESSED with Brenden. Like certifiably. He can't break up with her while they're in there or she'll murder him. He seems slightly more indifferent to her nonsense and i I could learn to hate someone they're opposite of I could like them. That's the problem there are alot of people who feel like fringe alliance members as far as my love/hate dynamic. Like I could root for you if the house would just do it's typical split down the middle wiht one side of loathing worthy people but it just won't do it.

It seems to have much more of an All-star's trajectory where you have a busty patsy convinced take out irrelevant 'floater' types and create a larger target on her back with each week as apposed to going after the other power alliance.

I guess what I wonder, as I've not been watching the feeds, is the "Brigade" common knowledge or have they been able to keep it on the downlow? Becuase I have to say that would impress me. Whenever we have these testosterone driven immediate 4-somes centered around the first week HOH (Brian's alliance, Mrs. Robinson's Alliance, Four Horsemen, The Sovereigns in All Stars...). they're found out in the first week. Prejury time is the house vs them and that's what I thought would happen with the 'Brigade' but to their credit they've done well to disguise themselves.

Also if I cared enough to vote Matt would be hte clear choice for Sab. He's the one who would have the most fun with the position. I would have the most fun with it if it was Brenden and we had him sabotage his relationship with Rachel. And honestly Brenden and Rachel should know they'll be lucky to make it to jury so they should jump on that offer if it's made to them.

Also Rachel wilL NEVER win this game because she bitches out everyone in her goodbye messages.

Brendon and Ragan are trying to reason with Rachel and are kindly suggesting to her that she's overreacting. Her friends in the house are having a heart to heart with her.

And how does a detached narcissist respond?

"What am I supposed to do fucking bake them cookies and sing kumbaya?"

As a narcissist she can never put herself in someone else's shoes, especially if she feels they've slighted her. It's like talking to the dining room table with her.

Brendon, you'd be smart to dump her as soon as the show is over. She will never fully trust you. She's already accused a straight man (Andrew) of trying to steal you away from her. Wait til she's popped out a couple of kids and you still have a six pack.

Then get ready to be impressed, because NO ONE has a clue yet. In fact, they've hidden it so well that the Brigade can pretty much skate by for a while without two of their alliance members being nominated opposite each other, which -- since it only takes 3 votes to tie this week and counting down from now on -- means the Brigade could essentially control each eviction from here on out. This week for example, if the nominations stay the same, Hayden has 3 automatic votes plus Britney (who thinks Kristen is coming after her).

At this rate I assume at least one Brigade member will be in the finals, it's looking likely that two of them will be, and they have a chance to become the first 4 man alliance in BB history to make it to F4.

They're actually playing well. It's a pity I can't stand them.

And how exactly is he a strong player? What has he won? What strengths does he have?

Hayden won the first HOH and even though he seems like a typical meathead -- and he has a penchant for hollering in the Diary Room -- he's actually playing the game well in the sense that he has ZERO enemies and lots of friends in the House. If he made it to the finals now, he'd get votes over most of them (except Enzo). He's up on the block with Kristin for godsakes and SHE'S the target, not him.

I was also impressed when he put up Brendan and Rachel week one, refused to use the veto on them if he won it (openly), said he wanted Brendan out (openly), refused to form a 4-way alliance with them after Brendan won the veto (openly) and STILL they didn't even think of targeting him the very next week when Rachel won HOH. That's...badass.

Uh oh. Her hair must be pulled back too tightly.

Cause she's HOH and she's shrieking.

Looks like Ms Insecurity is turning on Brendon.
Exhibit B: 7:45pm BBT
Miserable HoH .... You're the only safe person in the house. Smiles, Rachel, Smiles!
Errr. nope! Rachel's being second guessed, undermined and berated by her partner in the house. She's had enough, and she's not gonna take it anymore.

Brendon: You're not a mean person, so I don't know why you'r ecoming off as one right now. God forbid one of them comes off, and neither of them go home, this whole house flips on us. I want us to play this game smart. I'm not trying to come down on you. I'm not trying to be mean to you. I'm not trying to hurt your feelings. I'm just trying to make you understand where we stand in this house. I can't keep fighting like this. You need to stop challenging everyone to come get us, because that's a self-fulfilling prophecy... You need to apologize to them... You need to calm down... That was malicious...

This was Brendon to Rachel after the nominations.

Evidently, Rachel was really rude during nominations. Brendon tries to tell her she went over the line. And as a narcissist she just can't put herself in Hayden's or Kirsten's place.

Rachel: I don't think I did anything that I'm gonna regret later..
Brendon: Your whole bring it on thing??
Rachel: At this point, I think it's hilarious..
Brendon: If we keep egging it on...
Rachel: I was just thinking out loud.

From what I read on Jokers, Rachel has put up Hayden and Kristen. Brendan supposedly got mad with Rachel because of a speech she gave at PoV noms.

Apparently she said "bring it on!" to Kristen and Hayden in her nomination speech. Big deal. Brendon then proceeded to lecture and harp on her for about an hour about being nice, not bringing attention to yourself, how she should discuss saying those types of things with him beforehand, how she should play honorably, blah blah blah...then threw in some 'I love you's' and 'I support you, but ..' ..told her to apologize to Kristen and Hayden (which she did, but he also did on her behalf)...he also was coming down on her for making decisions without him...

She was so pissed at him for going on and on and making such a huge deal over nothing, you could see it in her eyes that she was questioning being involved with such a wuss! She just wanted him out of her face for a few minutes...but he kept hammering away at her. He left at one point and she let out a loud sigh, rolled her eyes and shook her head at the camera...implying she was exasperated with him...but no sooner, he walked right back in and repeated himself again...following up with more 'I love you's' and I can't bear being away from you...ack...it was all so disgusting.

I always thought he was too good for her...I now realize he's too much of a sap and goody-two-shoes...especially for her. He really is a candy ass...and clingy, needy and completely jealous of her power and independence.

and... I'm not a Rachel fan by any means either!

Does anyone think that Kathy and Britney are mother/daughter?

Matt's a elf-like douche.

There was a shot last week (I think) where Kathy and Britney were sitting side by side on the couch, even wearing similar colors, and I was surprised by the strong resemblance. I haven't seen it much again since then, so maybe it was just a product of the camera angle, but I still would not be surprised if they turned out to be related.

I agree that Matt has douche tendencies, but he is one of my favorites in the house so far. I think he overstates his qualities as "diabolical super-genius" but he's entertaining.

This season's thread is lacking one of my favorite things from years past: nicknames for the house guests. I mean real nicknames, like Manchelle and Velma/Lab Lady, not Enzo's ridicuous, self-created "Meow Meow" crap. Any suggestions? The only one I have so far is calling Brendon "Herman" since Rachel keeps talking about people trying to take her man. Weak, I know. Please, please come up with something better.

I thought there was a couples alliance between Hayden and Kristen and Rachel and Brendan?

If she is unable to "put herself in someon else's shoes" she wouldn't have genuinely comforted Ragan when he was crying last week.

She was so tender and sweet with him that I was able to forgive her for being so annoying haha.

She really earned some points with me that night.

I thought there was a couples alliance between Hayden and Kristen and Rachel and Brendan?

Nope. Rachel suggested that week two but Hayden and Kristin never went for it.

Bet they're regretting that now!

I cant stand Ragan he is always trying to diffuse any potential drama because he wants a nice clean game. Ummm for someone who claims to be a fan of the game has ever even watched it before? People watch Big Brother for the drama and fights, Big Brother is all about backstabbing and manipulation, please get rid of Ragan.

I'm convinced Rachel is playing a character, she has had the same good bye message three times in a row, I think she is a lot smarter than she is letting on, and I think she is playing Brendon.
