The Official "Big Brother 12" Discussion Thread!

Hayden seemed decent in the interview at least. Besides the lying to Kristen part, but lying is part of the game.

Glad Hayden won! Now he can afford a haircut! Seriously, though, he had me in the first episode with the hot dog challenge. He was the only one who figured out how to get his teammates across by holding on above the hot dog, whereas the 'scientists' and MensaMatt hadn't a clue.
And Brachel were two-faced to the end with the whole 'social game' nonsense. Talk about grudge-holding.

Oh and can I just say? I'm tired of some fans -- and even the houseguests -- saying over and over that The Brigade never won anything. For the first half of the game, Matt won 2 HOH's and Hayden won 1, giving the Brigade 3 weeks of safety. And then by end, Hayden had 4 HOH wins. Which by the way, is the record -- held only by BB5 Drew, BB7 Janelle and now BB12 Hayden.

Tying a record number of wins with only two other players in 12 seasons certainly exempts you from claims that you didn't win anything.

I'm too lazy to wiki at the moment. Hayden was the first player ever to win the first HOH and the whole game, no?

Does anyone think Julie's interviews were good?

It seemed almost like cheap pandering to me. She chose to ask Britney/Ragan about Brendan and Rachel, going for the obvious cheap and classless responses.

She could have asked Enzo if he thought Britney would eventually end up with Lane.

She didn't ask Lane or Hagan whether it was Enzo or Matt who formed and really developed the Brigade, even though that was the only real question of the night.

She could have asked if anyone thought the Saboteur had any effect, she didn't.

Thanks to everyone for all the recaps/updates/insight BTW.

How drool. BB 12 was beyond boring and predictable. We as the forum knew how the game was going to end a month ago before it actually did. God, I hope that BB13 and ten times more exciting.

I wish Julie had revealed to Rachel last night that Brendon used to make out with Annie in bed the first week in the house. Her face would've been priceless.

I seem to recall that at the beginning there was talk of 2 people either being related or knowing each other beforehand. Was this true, false or just forgotten about?

^ That was just a lie by Annie (as the first saboteur) that they all bought. She explained it to everyone last night.

Lisa did in BB3 as well.

I didn't even watch the finale last night. When I woke up this morning, I decided to get it over with and verify that Hayden won, which I expected. I guess I'll watch the finale later since I have it on Tivo. Glad Britney won the fan favorite vote though.

Wow Michael Bolton really let himself go...oh wait, that's just Alison Grodner.

In the Entertainment Weekly backyard interviews, Brendan and Rachel said they voted for Lane because Ragan told them that Enzo & Hayden had talked trash about Brenchel behind their backs. They basically admitted they weren't voting for Hayden or Enzo (wow) and Rachel outright said she liked Lane better as a result.

I actually give Rachel credit for being more honest about this than a lot of jurors who cloak personal preferences in pretentious claims about "gameplay." For those of you who remember the NPR article I posted earlier in season -- about how fundamentally people on these shows vote for who they like more -- that thesis played out again on the BB12 finale as Brendan and Rachel's seemingly puzzling vote for Lane was (by their own admission) a direct result of them liking Lane more at the end. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Most people vote like that, they're just not always as honest as Rachel was about it.

Enzo formed it, but Matt did all of the dirty work.

I didn't see any dirty work that Matt did. His HoH's were wasted because he didn't go after the people the Bra-gade wanted. He used his DPoV to oust Kathy who was a couch.

Enzo, Lane and Hayden talked trash about Brenchel, and Ragan chose to tell them about Hayden and Enzo?

Game over, deeds are done and on to the hot men of Survivor.
