Exactly, how have I crossed the line? I have ony stated my opinions and facts about their marketing model or shady practices. In fact, I never called anyone -except Cody- names or divulged sensitive or private information even when I knew it and REALLY wanted to out it on blast. If they don't want to be labeled as homophobes then stop allowing homophobic bullshit to occur.

I'm not sure exactly what I said that pissed him off except I did post the ND drops in web traffic but anyone can research that pretty quickly.

As for the photography, don't get me wrong I think Mick Hick's studio does great work...my complaint is that if a potential subscriber signs up from a blog because of a scene based on those photos then they are going to be in for a surprise.

I like the fact that with studios like Cocksure Men and Randy Blue that from the photos you know what the scene will be...in a ND photoshoot often the pictures show the models in positions or sometimes even to look like they are fucking when all it is a side by side jerk off or an oral scene. Cody's site is notorious for this.

A few recent glaring examples:

The foursome scene where Tyler left before any of the actual fucking started but the photos make it look like he was in on the group sex for more than a half blowjob by Marcus.


The vampire scene with Marcus and Sammy that looked great in the photos with the setting actually took place in ... a fucking GARAGE!? Don't get me wrong garage sex especially on a motorcycle is hot but the ONLY reason this was shot there was because the room was free. It completely KILLED the concept of the "vampire lover" but it wasn't the directors idea to do it anyway since he hasn't had an original idea since his haircut was current.

Pretty much any time you see a photo set in an interesting setting forget it because the director can't film anything but oral and two positions in a stationary setting - bed, couch, bathroom.

I like the pictures I just think unless they are accurate to the scene then they are false advertising. I mean if you go to a resturant and order steak but they bring you hamburger do you accept it because they are both beef or do you ask where the fuck is your steak?

I agree with the majority of the criticism, and I'm glad that your ok Allicide you've highlighted just how low ND are! I agree completely with the mis-leading photoshoot's and random locations, this post from Samuel O'Toole's blog says it all really, about the video where he's supposed to be playing a big porn star whose breaking in the new guy....

I would never do that. My issue is not with the person behind the marketing creation known as Cody Cummings. Yes, he is clearly every bit the douchebag that he appears to be...Let's get real whatever Jeremy Bilding says porn performers are not playing a character 24/7. Especially one like Cody who claims "I'm gonna be me." since reading his blog will show that he clearly lacks the intellect or grammar skills of a fifth grader - if he really writes it. So my issue isn't with the doucebag that plays Cody- there are lots of vain douchebags in the world that are even more homophobic and offensive than Cody - the difference is that those individuals are not seeking an audience and monetary compensation for their douchey behaviour. The blame for that falls in three places; ND for allowing it to continue for going on 5 years now, the blogs that still post the scenes hoping for that sign up bonus, and the self loathers that go on his blog and buy his underwear or post how sexy he is-get therapy.

I don't blame the model behind the Cody brand...I mean what is a 35 year old guy whose only jobs were working at In and Out burger, moving furniture, and stripping going to do if they offer him a buttload of money to "work" only one week a month? Granted now they are asking more of him...with the webshows, twitter, and blogging but that only gives him more arenas to show his ignorance and homophobia. I don't blame him for that I blame the studio for promoting it and not telling him this...

Codycummings.com's site ...appeals more to users who are childless; its audience also tends to consist of men and college graduates between the ages of 35 and 45 who have incomes over $30,000

They need to stop letting him delude himself into thinking he has a HUGE female fan base. He has a few dedicated female fans but he isn't as popular with the ladies as he likes to think he is and there certainly aren't enough of THEM to keep his site running.

I know they say you can't please everbody so don't try but I think you can certainly minimize how offensive you are by action and word rather than actively working to be a douchebag. The fault for that lies directly at ND's feet.

Allicide..........I agree with what you have written a 100%. And I'm pretty sure we're not the only people who feel this way about NDS and Cody Cummings.

And the thing is........there is no outcry against what Next Door Studios is doing.........because they essentially buy everyone off, using kickbacks (a.k.a. "Buddy Profits").

Tommy D was truly an amazing performer at Next Door. Yes he was bisexual but he made it clear he enjoyed having sex with both men and women and NEVER humilated or degraded the men he worked with. Samuel O'Toole seems to be following in those footsteps.

The issue is NOT that Cody has never "bottomed" -- Cody hasn't "topped" either. The only thing "gay" Cody ever does, is allow himself to receive a blowjob (no reciprocation of course), and that's it.
