Re: Madonna

There is no remastered Like A Prayer.
There is. It's from Japan. I even found Spotlight. But they don't say remastered. But when I compare them to my original CD recordings in my Itunes these are just as clear as the remastered ones. It's a huge difference. Now after Like A Prayer I can't find Erotica or Bedtime Stories. Anyone ever see this video of Physical Attraction? Youtube claims it was a official video. hahaha...again. There is NO OFFICIAL remastered version of Like A Prayer. Trust me

WB only issued the first three albums as "remastered."

Why "ha ha"? I said they sound as good as remastered. I have a folder of just her remasters in my Itunes and the Like A prayer CD sounds even better then her remasters on Celebration. They are louder and clearer. You know you want the link so email me and I will send it to you. You can hear for yourself.

I don't need a link.

I've been a madonna fan for 25 years and I have hundreds of her CD's from around the world. I have everything that she's ever officially released (and a lot that hasn't been). There is no remastered version of Like A Prayer.

Whatever you have is a bootleg.

Anyone who's a fan knows that the whole Celebration project was a complete and utter failure. The CD (and especially the DVD) was a mess, at BEST.

Re: Madonna

I loved Confessions, it really brought me back after straying a little bit. American Life was a let down for me and I let go of any newer Madonna sounds for a while. I chose to just appreciate her older stuff.

Thankfully Confessions was amazing and totally brought me back. And Hard Candy was also very enjoyable. Loved both albums. My guy actually prefers Hard Candy over Confessions.

But Celebration... I did not get into. It just didn't strike me.

Do you have that 40-CD single (3" CD single) box set from Japan? That thing is uber-cool. :D

I bow down to her biggest fan. Love how fans of people get so angry and territorial. I simply offered a link to the Japanese version of Like A Prayer that is much higher quality then the CD that is in the stores. it's even higher quality then the remastered Celebration CD. That is all. And I have been a fan since her first album came out so I trump your 25 years. I remember cutting the lawn so I could buy it because I heard Holiday on the radio. I am not a crazed fan though like some. I simply enjoy her music and just trying to share it with other fans. If I knew saying Like A Prayer was remastered would get your panties in such a twist I wouldn't have even brought it up.

Re: Madonna

I completely disagree... Madonna is not a Queen...

SHE IS A MOTHER FUCKING GODDESS !!!

Erotica is one of my favourite albums but for favourite song I have always loved The Power of Goodbye..

The only song I don't really care for is Holiday ...

Side note... right after I opened this thread my itunes started playing Hollywood.

Re: Madonna

I would also kill for that box set!! I've never even heard of it. I guess I'll have to put that on my wishlist.

This is too funny!!

Honestly "bluedragon4", you should know better than to speak your opinions here!!! How dare you!!! Just like your "blind item" stuff in the "Celebs" forum!!! You know you're going to get your ass kicked!!! Just WHO do you think you are?!?!? :p(*8*)

Re: Madonna

Rather than fighting amongst ourselves we should be fighting those who don't like Madonna. Lets go attack some monsters. jj. Don't attack them, they see not the error of their ways.

But isn't it true that Madonna is the measuring stick for female artists? She used to be set up against Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, and now Gaga. I think it's cool that anybody who really makes it in pop music is set up against Madonna to measure how far they have come and yet to go.

Are you always this defensive when you're proven wrong? ;) :)

There is no "japanese version of LAP that is much higher quality than the cd that is in the stores."
There is no "remastered version of LAP."

You are mistaken. No biggie.

*I* prefer Hard Candy to Confessions, I actually didn't buy that album. I didn't like Music, and was so put off by American Life that Madonna went on 'probation,' as far as I was concerned. I said that I wouldn't buy the next Madonna album sound-unheard. That I would need to hear and approve of it before I put a dime on it. So when COADF came out, I listened to all the tracks online and decided "Nope! Not buying it." It sounds like an album of generic remixes I can hear on Music Choice. Hard Candy brought me back. When I heard who she was working with, and the direction the album was taking, I felt it was safe enough and went ahead and bought it the day it was released and am fine with it.

I'm not interested in her doing 'dance' music anymore. I think she's played that hand TO DEATH and it's very predictable and easy for her to do. I don't mind her doing mainstream pop music that's danceable (like she did from 1983 to about 1997), but "dance music" is just a no-no for me. I also don't get why so many of her fans put extra stock in her working with novice, unknown producers. That actually makes me WORRY. I knew what to expect with Timbaland and Pharrell...her working with some no-name european DJ/producer who has little to no resume is too much of a risk; for all I know I could hate their 'sound.'

It still pops up on eBay fairly regularly - but pricy. Here's one auction for opening bid of $750.00 US, and another for $725.00 US. But I'd say it's totally worth it if you have money to burn and are a die-hard fan. Sometimes specialty retailers like EIL.com get it in too - but they're listing it as out-of-stock for $957.95 US, ouch. When it used to be a little more available it was going for "only" $400-500, heh.

There is and I did. I told you I would send you the link with no problem but you turned this into something ugly. lol. Whatever. I know what I am listening to, how great the quality is, and where it came from. You lost out. When I put Madonna into my Itunes 659 songs pop up. I guarantee you don't have everything I have. So there, lol. :p

Re: Madonna

So we've pretty much established everyone's favorite Madge album, but what is everyone's least favorite? Or least favorite song?

Re: Madonna

I woke up today really wanting new Madonna music. LOL.

I love Lady Gaga and since she's burst on the scene with constant Madonna comparisons, it has me in this frame of mind that Madonna is retired or something. LOL

I really need new Madonna music. At LEAST very strong rumors of what is coming up..

My favorite Madonna song is "Frozen". That song just speaks to me and literally haunts me. I love it so much. <3

And "Holiday" is another favorite. Totally spells the whole 80's post disco vibe that I just LOVE. <3

"Express Yourself" is probably her at her vocal best ever in my opinon. Even stronger than "Evita" if I'm being honest. Pop music BLISS. <3

I do really miss that iconic Detroit accent I remember her having from the 80's to mid 90's. :D

People are saying she is indeed working on new music. Cant wait!!

Re: Madonna

Yeah I can't wait to hear some new Madonna music!!! I love everything she releases...she is definitely one of the few amazing artists still releasing music.

I gotta say Hard Candy. I did like "Heartbeat" and "She's not me" but not crazy about it. Felt like she was trying to conform with this one and I bet she didn't even like half the songs.

I liked candy shop. But it was the 1st cd of hers where it sounded like the producers cd, and not a madonna cd.
