Madonna reportedly sparked outrage at a music event in England with a string of diva demands.


(BANG) - Madonna's alleged diva behaviour sparked outrage at a concert this weekend.
The music superstar annoyed organisers and fellow artists on the bill at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend free music event, after demanding a helicopter to transport her from her London, England, home to the festival in Maidstone, Kent - just 37 miles away.
When she finally arrived for her 20-minute set on Saturday (10.05.08), she issued a string of demands for her 70-strong entourage.
A source revealed to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "She had special Kabbalah water shipped in and demanded bouquets of white roses. While she only ate fresh fruit, the same can't be said of her friends.
"They arrived early and wolfed down free food and alcohol reserved for all the artists."
The '4 Minutes' singer also reportedly angered other performers by turning up late for rehearsals, leaving the schedules in disarray.
Madonna's four-letter tirade during the live BBC broadcast caused a headache for the TV and radio bosses.
Introducing 'Hung Up', Madonna said: "You guys are going to have to stop f***ing it up out there because I need to feel some love. I'm going to do an old song, but not too old. F**k the present. Let's live in the past."
Hosts Zane Lowe and Edith Bowman were forced to issue a hasty apology after the set, saying: "An incredible performance from Madonna. That said, a quick apology for those people who might have felt the content offensive."
The performance was Madonna's third show to mark the release of her latest album, 'Hard Candy', following shows in New York and Paris.

I was very disappointed to see she booked Dodger stadium. In my opinion, STADIUM CONCERTS SUCK!! Unless you are within the first ten rows of the first floor sections covering the center of the stage, good luck being able to see anything clear without binoculars, and the sound sucks too - nothing like hearing echos or delayed voices & music! I've been to one stadium concert at Dodger stadium and it was not a good experience, you are too far way from the action. Tix are $95 for nosebleed to $350 for floor. I really hope she does some arena dates in LA, if she doesn't, I'll be missing Madge this time around.

I have to agree, I hate stadium concerts. I hope I get a chance to her this time around though.

Does anyone know where she is performing in San Diego. Is it a stadium? I saw her last time at The Forum and by far the best concert I've ever been to.

I love her early stuff off her first two albums(physical attraction,think of me,pretender,stay,angel). I just listened to "Something to remember" the other day. That is a great compilation album. I use to pull that cd out everytime a relationship ended. I do love her newer stuff but those are the cd's I pull out most to listen to. I have a feeling the under 30 crowd will not be putting those on their lists. But guys my age remember how great those songs were. Damn I love the 80's,lol.

stay and pretender are wonderful songs... but I think there are too many weak songs on Like A Virgin for it to make my list (over and over, shoo bee doo, material girl)... but her first album would often make my top five.

I have to say; I really didn't care for "Ray of Light" very much (though I liked Frozen and Ray of Light). Also, I did like "Like a Prayer" (1989).

She is performing at Petco Park which the the baseball stadium for the San Diego Padres. If you are trying to decide which stadium: LA or SD - pick SD it is a smaller, newer stadium which will provide better sightlines than cavernous Dodger stadium and the floor seats should be closer.

Mariah kills her when it comes to albums (and singles)!!! Madonna has too much filler.

Anyway, here are her top 5:

Well, the Immaculate Collection trumps all of these, but I'm assuming we're only including studio albums.
