Re: Madonna on Oprah (25.10.) ---> The Baby Tour

Coming from someone who hasn't been following the whole baby issue thing (I actually watched the show today to see the Dixie Chicks), I think she handled herself really well. She seemed sincere and honest when she was answering the questions. From what she talked about in the interview, with the adoption process and the foundation, it doesn't seem to be for publicity. She seems to genuinely care. If she didn't then she is one hell of an actress.

Re: Madonna on Oprah (25.10.) ---> The Baby Tour

She came across as the class act she has evolved into over the years from her by-gone days of rolling around on stage in her underwear.

And she pretty much branded her detractors as the shallow, insipid bottom-feeders that they are without stooping to their level and actually calling them that.

For anyone to say that she is not genuine and sincere in her adoption of this child and in her broader philanthropic efforts is simply a reflection of that person's toxic personality and intrinsic inability to have compassion for others.

Re: Madonna on Oprah (25.10.) ---> The Baby Tour

Who the fuck would ADOPT a CHILD as a publicity stunt!? Honestly.
That's what I'm thinking...

You might kiss Britney Spears as a publicity stunt or jump around on Oprah's couch for (some sort of) a publicity stunt...but adopt a child from Africa? Yes of course money's not a problem for her, she's got people to help her, but she's still adopting...

Re: Madonna on Oprah (25.10.) ---> The Baby Tour

OMG WTF's up with her faux-british accent??

Re: Madonna on Oprah (25.10.) ---> The Baby Tour

I totally dig her accent..even if it's un peu FAUX (or whatever u may call it)! ...so posh and regal which befits her leonine nature...and it makes her a lot more interesting!

Je t'adore MADONNA!

VIVE LA REINE!!!

Can't wait to watch her on Oprah when it airs here in Manila!

Re: Best Madonna Album?

I'm Breathless. It's where she really started to show a 'true' sultriness & versatility.

Wow.. I thought I would be alone here. I think this is her under-rated album. I liked it when she tried jazzy songs.

So, I'm gonna go with I'm Breathless too. Followed closely by Like A Prayer, and then Confessions On The Dancefloor.

Re: Best Madonna Album?

I'm gonna have to say Confessions...I like how all the songs blend together

Biggest Madonna Regrets Of 2006?

Now that 2006 is winding down what do you wish had happened differently in the zany Madonna world over the past twelve months? Here's my picks:

THAT U.S. RADIO IGNORED "Sorry" causing the superlative song to stall at a totally inappropriate No. 58. Nevermind that radio shut out "Get Together" and "Jump" (those songs WERE garbage). "Sorry" deserved a lot better than what it got. Boo, ClearChannel and the other robotic radio stations out there. Your loss.

THAT MADONNA'S PEOPLE put out "I'm Going To Tell You A Secret" Period. What was the secret? How to open the dual disc package without breaking it? I was so put off by this project that I still haven't finished watching the DVD itself ... which is almost undistinguishable from the CD also enclosed. Utter confusion.

MADONNA HERSELF. Those concert ticket prices. Enough said.

Re: Biggest Madonna Regrets Of 2006?

That her song lyrics included the phrase "Let it will be". What the fuck do that mean?!?!? Using 'What it will be" would have worked much better. As in "Just let it be, what it will be" rather than "Just let it be, let it will be." Make more sense, fits rhythmically, and she can still call the song "Let It Be".

Re: Biggest Madonna Regrets Of 2006?

Get Together and Jump garbage? I'm Going To Tell You A Secret shouldn't have been released? Ticket prices too high? Go fuck yourself.

Re: Best Madonna Album?

Best album : "True Blue" and "Confessions on a Dance Floor" - tie -

Best single : "Erotica"

Re: Biggest Madonna Regrets Of 2006?

I think her biggest regret is that commotion over the baby adoption. Poor David. Welcome to the famous world.

SNAP!

"Get Together" and "Jump" are not only the two best songs on the "Confessions" album but two of Madonna's best dance songs of her entire career.

My biggest Madonna regret is that she agreed to compromise her artistic integrity and remove the crucifixation scene from NBC's airing of the "Confessions" tour show. HBO, which has aired three of her past tours, would easily have paid her more money to air the "Confessions" tour intact. I'm not sure why she would even agree to let NBC air her show, given the hardline right-wing mentality of their corporate execs, which goes against everything Madonna believes in politically, philosophically and philanthropically.

Maybe a little too high for all pop artists in general.

I agree...the father (as far as we know) seems to be happy with his son getting a "priviledged" life....what does anything else matter...

WORST Madonna song

There are always discussions about the best madonna song, but wat aboiut the worst!

"I'm Going Bananas" off I'm Breathless has to be her worst song, and
I'd hav to say Crazy for You as her worst single. Dull, boring, and pointless really. she recorded it at a time when she really couldn't sing well and shouldn't hav attempted ballads (not that she can't sing now, she has a beatiful voice now). Likewise This Used to Be My Playground is abit of shocker.

Some of the songs off True Blue like "White Heat" "Love Makes The World Go Round" and "Jimmy, Jimmy" r also irritating.

Re: WORST Madonna song

I agree, America Life. Good lord, what was she thinking with that rap?
