I've seen pictures of about 30 women at the gala. With one exception they're all wearing beautiful couture gowns. No one wore a costume in the photos I've seen.

I'm sorry, Madonna's outfit isn't fashion forward. It's fashion stupid.

uhmm Rihanna, Leigthon Meester. Even Vogue chief Ana Wintour from last year's event. This is one of those events were you can wear coutures that you can never wear on a regular red carpet. Seriously Tyra Banks with that Cinnabon looking thing on her head , Victoria B, Selma , Ann, it's not just the gowns it's the whole ensemble.

One thing you must remember is this. Love it or hate it were still talking about it. So I'd say the outfit was a smashing success.
