I thought the basic FEEL of Mariah's cover was neat. Sort of a classy 30s diva photo. But the purple MARIAH, and the less-than-ideal outfit, don't go well with that.

Madonna's looks like someone said "Make it as ugly as you possibly can". And then didn't even make it as interesting as that sounds.

Just kidding. I just don't feel 4 Minutes. The lyrics are kind of boring and the video was kind of a snore. Everything on Confessions was sort of trance-like and ambient, like a deep sea current.

Regardless, Hannah Montana had a #1 album. That doesn't make her music automatically awesome.

I didn't say she was losing anything. I said "win some, lose some" which means "hit or miss" and for me, 4 Minutes is a miss. All I was saying is that i can't be too disappointed because I can't expect to like everything someone comes out with. Obviously she can't follow up with the same act, but that wasn't at all what I meant. Cool off, sweetie. :)

I cannot stand '4 Minutes.' I've never been a Madonna fan, but some of my all-time faves are by her, most recently with the song 'American Life' and 'Hollywood'. Other than than, lately she's released nothing but crap. She barely even sings on here. Its funny her fans dissed Mariah for "having to feature the current hot artist to have a hit" and yet, she hasnt had a hit since..what, 2001? And what a shock, it features the two most dominating figures in pop music right now! Shocker....

Its just way over produced, the lyrics are stupid, and its a Madonna song yet she has like 4 words in it? Maybe they shoulda called it '4 Words'. If this is an indication of everything else on the record, I'll spare my bank account, since its all gonna be Timbaland/Justin on it.

I agree, the cover to Hard Candy is terrible, it looks unfinished when compared to her other covers, it looks like a high school kid it in their intro to graphic design course. Put this cover next to some of her other and it looks like so amateur hour. That font drives me nuts!!! Too me it just looks plan and unfinished!

About 4M, its a good main-stream dance/pop hit, confessions and american life were pure deep madonna, which not everyone gets/likes. This was a 'hit' album ... (maybe not so much for the true fans =p)

Word. I mean, Confessions was kinda pretentious (but that's what you expect from Madonna), but I really 'got' the entire album.

I usually like Timberland's stuff, though I'm still somewhat miffed by his banal part in M.I.A.'s "Come Around." Such a good song, with a lot of depth and he just sang about fucking chicks and being the man.

The bitch is hot, but that has got to be the worst Madonna song I've ever heard! Worse than Dont Stop, American Pie... even worse than Jimmy Jimmy LOL.

She started doing this years ago when Ray Of Light came out and has done it consistently since then for each new album. Her producers make a bunch of fake versions and push them onto the internet using peer-to-peer networks and, now, streaming video repositories. It's publicity.

This didnt even sound like madonna, like it kinda did but it didnt. I dont know, i wouldnt put it past Timbaland and JT to produce some shit like this. All thier stuff especially Timbalands new stuff is starting to sound the same.
