Not necessarily.. it had alot to do with promotion. Give It 2 Me flopped here in the USA but made huge success elsewhere such as the UK it was a top 10 at #7 and #8 Canada. It's her last album with Warner and i do not see much promotion being done. Alot of great artists have great songs and albums and don't have hit after hit. Miles Away was just a terrible choice for a single.

Hard to pick! I mowed a lawn to be able to afford her first album with Holiday on it. Than I remember my parents taking me to buy the like a virgin album. Than I waited for the record store to open so I could buy True Blue. Like a prayer I bought on spring break and it was my coming out record. Than erotica came out when I was in college running around with the gay union. Bedtime stories was my fuck album when I was in my slut stage, something to remember came out when I left my bf and I listened to you'll see over and over......lol, Must I go on?

Good promotion doesn't always equal success. It all comes down to luck. She had the right formula to obtain ONE massively successful hit this album. That was luck, not promotion. If you promote the hell out of a god-awful song, it doesn't mean it'll be a hit.

Like A Prayer is probably my favorite, because it has IMO the best singles, and for her it was her most introspective album. But here recently I have been listening to Ray of Light a lot.

Beautiful Stranger should NOT be added because that was not from the Immaculate Era which only goes up to 1990. That would go in the GHV2 Era and it already has been put on that cd/record.

There was nothing wrong with the track selection with Immaculate Collection. The two main problems were 1. the "exclusive mixes" they used, and 2. the absolutely horrible (and now horribly dated) "Q sound", which makes it sound like someone dropped the speakers (or your headphones) into an empty 55 gallon drum.

She had a great run in the early 90's...but everything since has been 'meh'.

It WAS the lowest charting hit from that album. (Yeah, it hit #3, but it STILL was the lowest charting hit.) "Angel" was another top five hit that didn't make the cut, if memory serves.

Inspired By Madonna's Body Of Evidence

I just saw this.. one word.. AMAZING. I always heard she was a horrible actress and took everyone's word for it. My bf heard from his mom to rent it because it's good. So he popped it in and I was just playing my nintendo ds. After 20 minutes I was so into it. Goes to show.. you can't go by what everyone says. I was so inspired by the movie.. and REALLY turned on. What people do sexually is their business... and it made me think about my sexuality about if "I" MYSELF like kinky sex. It also had a moral and I feel it is to mind your own business. Everyone likes sex and has had outrageous thoughts.. they just hide it. People should be open sexually.. because society always says sex is bad and wrong to talk about. I LOVE this movie!
