Firstly, Madonna and Britney have worked together. So what are you talking about? Is that song shit too? Because Madonna was all over Britney, even kissing her. You've got me defending Britney Spears, oh :help: Secondly, Madonna is flattered to be compared to Lady Gaga. So there you go again, calling Madonna shit. Thirdly, Madonna has worked with some of today's leading generic people. She worked with Timbaland/Justin Timberlake/Pharelle only to make the sequeal to Nelly Furtado's 'Loose.' Now she is working with Lil Wayne. Yeah, please get off your high horse and touch base with the Earth. I don't care for Madonna all that much and respect her place in position as pop royality, but please be honest with yourself ..|

Her career sure ain't ruined. She's still breaking concert records with attendance and revenue, still selling albums, and has a legacy that no one can beat. :D

Madonna is an icon and always will be, regardless of what her career is like now. She has proven herself thus far. I'm not a fan but I respect her influence on pop music/culture.

I don't think Madonna cares a whole heck of a lot about being cutting edge and musically relevant these days. She's rich, in fantastic shape, has a family that loves her unconditionally, and is destined to become a sort of Marlene Dietrich type. Eventually, she'll be 65 years old, with the body of a 35 year old, performing a one-woman show on Broadway to adoring fans, and she'll have the last laugh. Good for her!

Madonna still seems to be doing well. Music charts aren't the best measure of success these days. Musicians make most of their money from touring, and I've heard that her ticket sales are pretty strong.

And wait till Lourdes hits it big. Anyone see her in the Celebration video doing that back roll on the dance floor or dressed in the wedding dress for the second version of Celebration? She's got that "it' factor. Just as her mother stops making music Lourdes will come of age and take over. Madonna will spark interests for so many more years with people looking her up after Lourdes hits it big! Crazy when you think about it.

Exactly. Most people think a concert tour is to promote an album. It's actually the other way around.

It's hard for a 50 year old woman who is out of touch with the common man to stay hip and relevant.

Most musical artists do their best work in their 20s and 30s.
