i enjoyed the video posted by miaedu.

can't wait for her next album.

hoping it'll be this year!

Is Madonna going to wait and make 2012 her year or is she going to release her new album this year???

I do hope it's also true, William Orbit is on board. Martin Solveig is just contributing to the album but Orbit will have more input!
Heard also on the grapevine that Boy George is also contributing. Hmmmmm hope it doesn't sound too eighties! :-)

I don't know, the William Orbit rumors have me apprehensive. Outside of co-writing with Pat Leonard, Madonna typically hasn't reused collaborators a lot, and the songs they did for Music already seemed kind of inferior to the stuff they made for Ray of Light. Hope they get inspired if they really are working together.

It's Madonna's birthday today!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADONNA!

Brit Awards '95 Madonna BEDTIME STORY live

Been a big fan of Madonna for years. I remember asking my mother specifically for the Like A Virgin album for my 12th birthday. It had been around for a while but I loved the songs from it and thought the cover photo was great. Come the day of my birthday I was instead presented with a new album called True Blue. I was disgusted and threw an almighty fit. How could I be happy about an album that had just been released a week ago and the only song anyone knew from it was a random track called Papa Don't Preach!? So in order to soothe my diva tirade my parents spent the next hour or so in my bedroom listening to every song from True Blue, humming along and assuring me all the way that this new album was going to be a BIG HIT! To this day my mother can't stand Madonna. Bless them both.

btw, came across this video for Beat Goes On. Its not bad for a mock up. Not sure if it was used officially on the Sticky and Sweet tour?

Madonna is Queen.
It would so fantastic if she were to mix up her classics with her contemporary masterpiece collaborators like : Steven Bray with William Orbit; Patrick Leonard with Stuart Price; Shep Pettibone with Mirwais. I think it would be phenomenal.
I hope she goes pop-rock with her new CD

VMAs Gone Wild: An Adorable Cat Reenacts Madonna's Legendary 'Like A Virgin' 1984 VMA Performance

Who could forget Madonna's legendary 1984 VMA performance of "Like A Virgin"? You remember: the one where she dressed up like a randy bride in a Boy Toy belt and a wedding dress that felt more like the underpinnings of a regular wedding dress and then proceeded to lay down and consummate her marital relationship with the stage.

What does Madonna's VMA performance have to with a cat? Not much, but everything has to do with cats when you blatantly get a cat involved. Which is why we -- the same people who brought you dogs dressed like Cher and Lady Gaga in her VMA meat dress -- called upon a gifted cat name Mona to dress up like a cat version of Madonna and recreate Her Madgesty's iconic "Like A Virgin" VMA performance -- cat-sized wedding cake and all -- in today's VMA animal reenactment.

Mona the cat's version of "Like A Version" is far tamer (get it? tame?) than Madonna's but no less inspired. Upon descending the cat-sized wedding cat, Mona pauses (or PAWS-ES? GET IT?), gives the camera a silent Blue Steel stare (WERQUE!) and then calmly descends the cake staircase, arriving at the kitty VMA stage, then finishing her performance with the decision to nap. (That's vintage cat right there.) Because being Madonna is exhausting (all that yoga and clean eating!). And because sometimes you're just plain tuckered out.

And seriously, a round of applause for Mona. She was the sweetest cat maybe possibly of all time (um, I kinda know what I'm talking about when it comes to cats), and I was a little afraid I'd get kicked off the set for cooing over her like a wackadoo. If cats could roll their eyes she probably would've rolled them at me for fawning so unabashedly in her little kitty face. But really, could you blame me? SHE'S ADORABLE AND DRESSED LIKE MADONNA!! For real though, I'd give this cat a Moonman if I could.

Watch a cat dressed in a wedding dress reenact Madonna's 1984 VMA performance of "Like A Virgin," and watch a dog in a dog version of Lady Gaga's meat dress and little meat hat accept a VMA from a little dog version of Cher. And Stay tuned for more VMA animal reenactments!

That was an awesome story! lol. Thanks for sharing.

Glad you liked it, FanofFiction.

When are we going to get some solid leaks re: the new album already? I'm starving here!

If I had a fantasy pick with the Producers of old I'd have to agree with anyone that's already mentioned Patrick Leonard. Not the whole album, just a song or two. If not then let's see another collaboration with Nellee Hooper. Anything this guy producers I've loved like Massive Attack's Blue Lines/Protection or Soul II Soul's Club Classics, Bjorks Debut & Post or Neneh Cherry's Raw Like Sushi. Add them to the Bedtime Stories album that he co-produced and he's right up there with the best.

Unreleased tracks sidenote: check out Madonna's Gone Gone Gone. GREAT song!..|

I just love that Madonna has done almost everything there is to do in the entertainment industry...lol

If this album is another ROL, I'm going to shit all over myself! :gogirl:
BUT--for some reason, I feel another Music-type album coming. Which isn't really bad either, but I want more serious stuff.

When has Madonna ever repeated herself? I'm hoping the new album doesn't sound like anything she's ever done before! I hope this album marks a new musical chapter for her, just like "Ray of Light" and "Confessions on a Dance Floor" did. :D

And here's the clip of her discussing the new album on YouTube:

I'M SO EXCITED!!!
