I want to be excited but the fact that Madonna is outsourcing other people's demos to use for the album is nagging at me. I was really hoping for a personal album since she's gone through so much since Hard Candy, and her magic is in mixing accessible pop songs, non-mainstream touches and lyrics that have personal meaning to her (see also: Like a Prayer, Ray of Light albums). On other hand, if she's not ready to share anything personal, her not writing the songs will probably save us from her own filler waiting/hesitating/anticipating rhyme schemes, "yeeeeeahs" or tree of life Kabbalah lyrics, so... I'm just so mixed! :(

I have no doubts about M's musical production or studio vocals, so I'm just hoping that the lyrics don't make her sound like a ten year old. For the most part, her lyrics have been her biggest weakness on the post-Ray of Light albums. She really needs writers like her brother-in-law or Pat Leonard to keep her grounded.

Re: Madonna on Hydrangeas: Do Not Want

Yes I still love her and I think we should forgive her. Sometimes old people don't realize that everybody else isn't as deaf as them and end up speaking too loudly.

Re: Madonna on Hydrangeas: Do Not Want

The only reason she was heard at all is because she had a mic next to her. I don't get why her haters on other sites are making such a big fucking deal over this. She was polite and thanked the guy to his face, then after he left she made a comment that she wasn't expecting anybody to hear to her friend on the side. Yeah, it's still a little unappreciative, but not all that different from pretending you love that ugly sweater you get as a Christmas present when you're really thinking "God, I can't wait to return this."

Madonna Fans Rejoice: New Album Due in Spring 2012

Madonna's 12th studio album will be released in the spring of 2012, with its first single due out in February or March.

The diva announced the news herself in an interview with Sweden's Sveriges Television (SVT) in Venice, Italy. Madonna is there to promote her film "W.E.," which premiered out of competition at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday, Sept. 1.

Madonna says that she's "started a little bit of work in the studio" for the forthcoming album and will continue recording in "New York, until the end of the year" when she returns to the United States. The entertainer began working on the album officially on July 4, as confirmed by her manager Guy Oseary, via a tweet. That day marked her "1st day in the recording studio for the new album."

She also didn't correct the interviewer when he mentioned how she was re-teaming with producer William Orbit, which would seem to indicate a confirmation of their collaboration. Orbit co-produced and co-wrote the bulk of Madonna's 1998 album "Ray of Light." The set debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, has sold 3.9 million copies in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan and won the Grammy Award for best pop album.

The as-yet-untitled new album will be her first studio release after leaving Warner Bros. Records and entering into an all-encompassing deal with Live Nation. Her final Warner Bros. studio set, "Hard Candy," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has sold 739,000 in the U.S. It spawned the hit single, "4 Minutes," featuring Justin Timberlake and Timbaland, which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Re: Madonna on Hydrangeas: Do Not Want

Now that she's divorced Guy and spends more time in NY, she only seems to slip into British school marm mode when she's annoyed... which is kind of funny to me.

Re: Madonna on Hydrangeas: Do Not Want

I'm on her side. Hydrangeas give me the creeps.

Fast forward to :46.

Re: Madonna on Hydrangeas: Do Not Want

Uhuh.

Well sweetheart, at least J. Lo and Mariah Carey have the (pretentious) foresight to list what they do like so that they don't receive such trinkets.

I'm annoyed by this, but it's not a big deal to me because I don't buy her music.

Re: Madonna on Hydrangeas: Do Not Want

What a fuckin tool.

Her fake British accent ain't foolin nobody. [-X

You're from Bay City Michigan, bitch. :p

Re: Madonna on Hydrangeas: Do Not Want

Saw this yesterday...

As a fan, I must say that I'm a bit...disappointed in her making those comments. Yeah, it's not a big deal--but I think celebs could be a bit more appreciative of their fans' gestures towards them. It's not like the guy did anything creepy.

And I have an aversion to people being fake...which is exactly what this act was on her part. Thank the guy to his face, then make an ugly remark off to the side. I can appreciate her work, but I honestly don't think I would care for her as a person.

I have a love/hate thing with her music and the person.

I'm also a fan of another diva who has been accused of being c.u.n.t. Most of her life.

Maybe we shouldn't know anything about their personal lives. They put out music. We buy it if we like it. The end.

but the bigger question is why was this thread opened when there's already a Madonna thread???

Re: Madonna on Hydrangeas: Do Not Want

I created this this thread in the Celebrity News & Gossip forum after checking the first three pages to make sure that there wasn't an existing thread on the topic.

Someone moved my thread to this forum.

So excuse the fuck outta me!

That forum is for MALE Celebrity News & Gossip.

You could always ask the mods to merge this thread into the existing one:p

Re: Madonna on Hydrangeas: Do Not Want

What an asshole. Plus, that fake British accent shows exactly how pretentious she is.

Re: Madonna on Hydrangeas: Do Not Want

lol, Why so serious, Madonna? They're just some damn flowers.

She could've at least waited until later to express her dislike of Hydrangeas~.
Or not at all. Some things are best left unsaid.

Grow the fuck up, Madge![-X

PS. And ease up on the botox too... you're starting to look like The Catwoman.

Re: Madonna on Hydrangeas: Do Not Want

Madonna has been very good at marketing herself. I think some of her earlier tunes ca. 1985 were good. She has sunk very deeply into mediocrity. When her "controversial" book was published, some guy on the street said, "if she really wanted to do something earth-shattering, she should release a good album!"

Question: why should anyone on the planet care whether or not Madonna likes or dislikes hydrangeas? If hydrangeas were animate, they probably wouldn't like her either. :p

I think the issue is that she was given the plant by a fan. It's not about what she likes, it's about her response to a fan's generosity.

Re: Madonna on Hydrangeas: Do Not Want

That "fan" was chasing after her with a microphone to ask her where the flowers were later that day. It was somebody from the press.

I mean... I love M, but I'm not a stan and know she's pretty much a bitch in real life. But I still think this incident is kind of being blown out of proportion by the internet.

But my understanding is that the plant was actually from a fan.

I guess.
