Madonna's love letter to hydrangeas

I want the single to come out the very second it gets recorded...lol

Re: Madonna To Perform At Superbowl Halftime Show

^I think they ran out of old (respectable?) men to select, so they chose... her.

Re: Madonna To Perform At Superbowl Halftime Show

Now if they can have at least one gay camera man to give us some nice close-up of bulges on the players in whatever sport is played at the Superbowl I might just watch.

Report: Madonna to Light Up Super Bowl Halftime

The NFL has reportedly locked down Madonna to perform at the Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show in February, according to SB Nation. Sources close to the event tell the sports blog that the Material Girl will be front and center Feb. 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The NFL has not issued a comment and Madonna's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, tells Billboard.com that there is "nothing to confirm or deny at this time."

This wouldn't be the first time Madonna has been in the mix with the Super Bowl. Back in January of 2000, she was slated to perform her then-new single "American Pie" at the Jan. 30 Super Bowl XXXIV halftime show. However, she quickly pulled out of the gig a few days later, due to it conflicting with her recording schedule. In a statement at the time, Madonna said that she was "sorry" and expressed "sincere apologies" to the NFL. She added: "I look forward to the possibility of doing something with the NFL in the future."

Perhaps the future is now, with the 2012 Super Bowl?

With her body of work, a Madonna performance would presumably be without the aid of other bands or artists. Last year's entertainment was a mashup of The Black Eyed Peas, Usher and Slash. Before that, there was a six-year span of established, safer artists from The Who (2010), Bruce Springsteen (2009), Tom Petty (2008), The Rolling Stones (2006), and Paul McCartney (2005).

A slightly sexy performance by Prince in 2007 broke up the more conservative pattern of performers, meant to offset the Janet Jackson-Justin Timberlake "wardrobe malfunction" debacle of 2004.

Last year's Super Bowl was the most-watched TV show in American history, with Nielsen estimating 111 million people saw the Green Bay Packers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers. A performance by Madonna would be an unparalleled platform to promote a new release from the singer, who recently announced she was working on a new album for 2012. The nearest release dates fall on Tuesday, Jan. 31 or Feb. 7. Stay tuned…

Re: Madonna To Perform At Superbowl Halftime Show

This is a step in the right direction. Hopefully, she will have male dancers in scanty attire.

Re: Madonna To Perform At Superbowl Halftime Show

Cool. I hope everyone in the stands throw gigantic hydrangeas at her as she performs. :)

This would make me watch the Super Bowl in its' entirety instead of skipping the Half Time show.

Re: Madonna To Perform At Superbowl Halftime Show

I don't see what the big surprise is. I think Madonna would be the PERFECT choice for The Superbowl - she's handled more balls than all the players put together!

Re: Madonna To Perform At Superbowl Halftime Show

Let the boycotts begin. Hopefully Mo got enough clout they won't buckle and try to backout and hopefully she will at least have a new single ready.

Re: Madonna To Perform At Superbowl Halftime Show

I'm kind of looking forward to seeing her performance....3 months to wait. sigh

Hydrangeas...huh...what's not to like about them? Divas and their 'tudes...gotta love 'em. ;)

Re: Madonna To Perform At Superbowl Halftime Show

Just when her career is [STRIKE]dead[/STRIKE] peaking!

Re: Madonna To Perform At Superbowl Halftime Show

Her oval face and leathery skin will be a total match for the football.

Hopefully I'll get to see Madonna and the Jets at the superbowl... mmmm Mark Sanchez..... I'd like to see Madonna perform with a few other artists at half time. My favorite half time show to date was the mega mash up with Aerosmith, Nsync, Nelly, Britney Spears...

For anyone not following Orbit via Twitter he's been talking about being in the studio with Madonna working on tracks.

Quote: "Working with Madonna is a treat. Fantastic tracks and vibes. Going deep. She's ON IT!!! This is THE album".

So excited to hear this. ROL part 2 maybe?

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG...

*dead*

Madonna wants you to GIVE HER ALL YOUR LOVE at next Super Bowl ! – EXCLUSIVE !!!

It’s not official yet, but Madonnarama can exclusively reveal that the deal is ON!
Madonna will be performing five songs at next year’s Super Bowl XLVI at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on February 5.

We can also reveal that she will be singing the very first single – a never-heard-before song co-produced by Martin Solveig – from her forthcoming album !

The track is called “Give me all your love” and it’s a very catchy tune.

The performance is supposed to include some heavy choreography with major cheerleading action!
The cheerleaders are about to tumble, dance, jump and stunt while cheering some “M-A-D-O-N-N-A” in the stadium while she sings her new song.

Oh and that also explains one of William Orbit’s recent tweet…

“I hesitate to make a comment about anything musical, y’all might think is a cryptic tease. But will say: \o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/”

Madonna will also sing four classic hits from her vast repertoire.

We can also reveal that the rumour about Lady Gaga competing with Madonna to perform at the sport event, is true, but M seems to have gotten her way.

The Super Bowl is the championship game of the National Football League (NFL), the highest level of professional American football in the United States.
