My husband and I went out on a date last night. We always get each other a little gift when we have a date night... last night he bought me the remastered version of Madonna's Like A Virgin album! He's a sweetheart. He got lucky for it!
 
What were the two songs nominated? And you're right, it is a waste to have a category with only two nominees.
 
Oh well. Madonna's got too much going on right now anyway. She's got a Superbowl to do!

Oh I don't know about that Aagold... we are talking about Madonna here... with backstage access to not one but two lockerrooms of hot, young, pro-athletes who are half her age... Or a gold statue... Knowing Madonna, I'm thinking she'd rather take the backstage pass to Tom Brady's personal shower. I would!
 
Masterpiece was not even eligible for the Oscars - to be nominated for the Best Song category, the song has to play within the movie or be the first song to play in the ending credits, and Masterpiece fit neither category.
 
The Globes are their own award show. They can go by whatever rules they want.
 
It would have been cool if Madonna could have won an Oscar for a song she wrote, though. I think it is kind of lame that the performer of the song is not really acknowledged for the Best Song Oscar, since Sooner or Later and You Must Love Me both won but they don't count as wins for HER.

Ray of Light was an awesome music video for it's era. And the song remains a favorite of mine.

It's the Superbowl, I suspect she'll do a medley of earlier hits before doing an amazing number from the new album. She has one of the most amazing song catalogues of any artist I ever heard.

My favorite halftime show remains Aerosmith/NSYNC/Britney Spears/Nelly....

Can Madonna beat it?
