Re: The New Madonna song is Horrible

Ok then.

The only women in the top ten singles of all time were the ones who sang lines in "we are the world."

The other nine... All men.

Sorry. Women all suck.

Re: The New Madonna song is Horrible

- The person with the most top 10 singles on the Hot 100 is a woman.
- The person with the most #1s on the Hot 100 as a soloist is a woman.
- The most successful single of the 2000's was by a woman.
- The top 4 artists of 2011 were women. There were more women than men in the top 10 (6 women to 4 men)
- Three of the top 5 singles of 2011 were by women. The #1 single of 2011 was also by a woman.
- Seven of the top 10 albums of 2011 were by women. The #1, #2, and #3 albums were all by women.
- The highest grossing tour of all time by a soloist is by a woman.
- Women are leading the Billboard Hot 100 and 200 at this moment.
- The most weeks lodged at #1 by an album is 20 weeks. Both these albums are by women.

Records are made to be broken. Women are far more relevant in music now and it will only be a matter of time before they rewrite history and break the records.

Re: The New Madonna song is Horrible

Are you people really all that fucking thick?

Is my sarcasm THAT hard to grasp or are you all just... dense?

OK...let's break this down for the "slower" members of our community.

1) I've been saying for ages that "popular" doesn't mean "good" and that "good" won't always be "popular" when it comes to music. Most of my favorite bands have never had a record on any chart in north america.

2) Chart positions do not matter at all. There is not such a thing as a "good" song... just songs that people like and people don't.

3) When I answer silly posts like "Katy Perry sold more records than Lady Gaga so she's better than Lady Gaga' with equally silly posts like "there hasn't been a good album since Millennium by the Backstreet Boys," I shouldn't have to haul out that animated gif of Jake Gyllenhall laughing. And even when I do, some people are still too dense to realize it's a "joke" and not to be taken seriously.

4) I posted a very praise-worthy thing about how important Madonna was to pop music and culture and I think I also pointed out that one of the two highest-selling artists in (world) history is a Greek woman named Nana Moskouri who most people in America have never heard of and would confuse with Andrea Martin's character in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" or maybe Tina Fey.

And...

Once my mother asked me "Jasun, wouldn't you maybe want to make movies that everyone can enjoy?"

And my answer was... "Mom... there's no such thing."

.

I think you are slow to think we can identify a flat out statement, with no sense of humor as sarcastic. Work on your sarcasm skills before you post. Sarcasm works best verbal and visual.

So.... you actually thought I was serious when I said that MCHammer was one of the best artists ever and that the last "good" album was in 1999 by the Backstreet Boys?

I see.

Is your ego that big that you think people pay attention to everything you post? Or are you delusional?

But the fact that you are a very angry person and you would think all women suck is very believable.

So... wait... did you or did you NOT read that post?

Re: The New Madonna song is Horrible

The best thing in the song/video is M.I.A!! (!) and her new song/video "Bad Girls" is the most amazing stuff I have ever seen. Lover her!! I thank Madonna for promoting this incredible artist. :=D:

Madonna Scores Record-Extending 38th Hot 100 Top 10

Almost 30 years after her arrival on Billboard's charts, Madonna continues to feel L-U-V from her fans. On this week's Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, her latest single, "Give Me All Your Luvin'," featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., bounds 13-10 in its second chart week.

The first single from Madonna's 12th studio album, "MDNA," due March 26 (which sports an "L-U-V, Madonna!" cheerleader chant), becomes her 38th Hot 100 top 10, pushing her further ahead of runners-up the Beatles (34).

Madonna first reached the chart's top tier the week of June 16, 1984, when "Borderline" rose to its No. 10 peak. She had last ranked in the region with "4 Minutes," featuring Justin Timberlake and Timbaland, the week of June 28, 2008.

Here is a look at the artists with the most top 10 songs in the Hot 100's 53-year history:

38 -- Madonna
34 -- the Beatles
28 -- Michael Jackson
28 -- Stevie Wonder
27 -- Mariah Carey
27 -- Janet Jackson
27 -- Elton John
25 -- Elvis Presley (whose career predates the chart's Aug. 4, 1958, inception)
23 -- Whitney Houston
23 -- the Rolling Stones

Cant wait for the cd to drop.

I wonder if there are any other collaborations that we aren't aware of yet. It would have made my life if Nelly did a rap on one of her songs.

It always surprises me when I see how many Top 10 hits Mariah & Janet have had. I can only remember about a half dozen or so of Janet's songs (from her first two albums), and maybe three of Mariah's (one of those is her cover of "Without You," and another is "All I Want For Christmas Is You").

My husband LOVES Masterpiece. Which is bizarre because he is normally all about dance tracks. I love GMAYL, which is funny because I normally go for the ballads.

I suspect I'll also be partial towards the Orbit tracks.

It's fine that she did a song for Nickelodeon but when's the adult shit gonna come out?
