I recently heard that its been 30 years since Madonna released her first single. "Everybody". 30 years!
 
i was just thinking of Madonna and wondered if given a choice would you have a short-lived but incredibly critically acclaimed career, or a long one but without critical acclaim?

I was never crazy about "Everybody" actually. But the Blu-Ray debut this year of the "Truth or Dare" concert doc made me think about how they sampled a bit of "Everybody" in the opening of "Express Yourself". I thought that was very cool and thought it was a nice idea hearing an earlier track dropped in like that. :) 0:22-0:38 in this:

Madonna's official website says that she filmed a full episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that will air on October 29th! I can't wait!! :=D:

This lady is a shrewd business woman. She is the rainbow queen of reinvention. She should do the next album as full MDMA and really be a major influence of ray of light with Dance music used in a new form.


In 2012, she was crowned the "Greatest Woman In Music" by VH1.

A year ago I met her in a market that sells American food not far from where she lives in London. I never ask for autographs and usually do not say anything to stars and respect there privacy. However this time I went over to her and said thanks for the music Ms Ciccone she said thank you. Later someone went over and said Hi Maddy she was not smiling. She is a very nice person.
