Me too...fuck digital. That's what killed the music industry. Give me vinyl or a cd anyday.

Re: The Official MADONNA Discussion Thread - 2014 edition

There is something exquisitely malicious about these leaks in particular. It seems it goes beyond just beating everyone to post and share the stolen material first. It feels like, both by the extent and the timing of the series of leaks, that the intent was really to damage Madonna's product and ensure its failure.

Re: The Official MADONNA Discussion Thread - 2014 edition

OMG so sad.
her demos leaked 3 months before the official release and now
the super deluxe version has been leaked a full month.
It is quite unprecedented how intense and cutting the leak was done - several months and several songs.

Someone is really out to destroy Madonna and ensure this album is trashed - to release the superdeluxe edition means ALL the official songs have been leaked.
What kind of monster would do such a thing?
Sad as it is shaping to be the most interesting Madonna record.

Im going to wait for its release to listen to it though.

OMG what a diatribe. Calm down drama queen. STFU listen to the album or don't. I've been dancing since the first leaks and buying the physical cd when it comes out. Albums are just to get people excited about seeing the act live. Relax. It's not that serious :)

Re: The Official MADONNA Discussion Thread - 2014 edition

Her tour will break records again no matter how this album does in the charts.

Madonna Talks 'Fifty Shades of Grey' ('Not Very Sexy'), the Pope and Why the 'Word Police Can F--- Off'

Strutting into Universal's Manhattan headquarters on a bleak, frigid evening, Madonna looks like a naughty princess come to toss off some knowledge to the peons. It's an image enhanced not only by her outfit -- a form-fitting black blazer with arm poufs; a silver Chanel whistle, hanging low on a necklace; and aubergine-hued lace gloves topped with a diamond skull ring -- but also the servant that trails in her wake, carrying an old-timey glass bottle with a black ribbon tied around the neck. It looks like a vessel from a cartoon -- it might have smoke billowing out the top and the caption, "Drink to Grow Strong," but it's just good old tequila. "We're playing a drinking game," announces Madonna, plunking two shot glasses on a coffee table. "If you ask a stupid question, you have to drink a shot. But if you ask an amazing question, I have to drink a shot." Pause for effect. "I'm the judge of stupid and good, though."

Hear Madonna's Impressive Isolated Vocals From Her Grammy Performance

Isolated vocals are one of the Internet's great obsessions, and they often don't end well (sorry, Mariah/Taylor/Britney). That makes us all the more pleased when a pop star delivers a demanding performance and still sounds remarkable, as is the case for the vocals purportedly extracted from Madonna's recent Grammy appearance. The singer's rendition of "Living for Love" found her being handed off among a mosaic of men dressed as bulls, destroying some '80s-throwback choreography and still hitting every word during the six-minute performance (atop a recorded vocal track, of course). Anyone who says Madonna isn't still the master at 56 years old has not been paying attention.

Is Madonna out of the groove? Not quite yet...

EVER since a lace-clad Madonna burst on to the music scene three decades ago she’s possessed the knack of reinvention.

Love or loathe the American singer there’s no denying that she has the ability to spot and exploit a trend. It’s helped her rack up global record sales of 300million and earn the title Queen of Pop.

Now, however, it seems time has finally caught up with 56-year-old Madonna. At the end of a week in which she flashed her bottom at the Grammys in LA it was revealed that her songs are no longer considered cool enough for Radio 1.

Madonna Notches Historic 44th No. 1 on Dance Club Songs Chart

The Queen of Pop reigns again with 'Living for Love,' tying with George Strait, the King of Country, for the most leaders on a single Billboard chart.

Madonna makes Billboard chart history, as she earns her 44th No. 1 on Dance Club Songs, where "Living for Love" lifts 2-1. (The ranking, dated March 7, will refresh on Billboard.com on Thursday, Feb. 26.)

With the coronation, Madonna equals George Strait, who's logged 44 No. 1s on Hot Country Songs, for the most leaders ever by an act on a singular Billboard chart.

It's fitting history for the artists also known, respectively, and reverently, as the Queen of Pop and the King of Country.

With her 44th leading title on Dance Club Songs, which measures reports submitted by a national sample of club DJs, Madonna pulls further ahead of runners-up Beyonce and Rihanna. In fact, Madonna has tallied as many No. 1s as they have combined: 22 each. (The chart launched as a national survey in the Billboard issue dated Aug. 28, 1976.)

Madonna, who performed "Love" at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 8, matches Strait's esteemed honor, with the latter icon having stood at the Hot Country Songs summit with 44 smashes between 1982 and 2009. He first reigned with "Fool Hearted Memory" (Aug. 28, 1982) and most recently ruled with "River of Love" (April 18, 2009.)

Thank goodness. I try to be open-minded but those country fans need to keep it to themselves and not flaunt it. I can't stand having that shit shoved down my throat. HAH!

Brit Awards 2015: Madonna falls off stage

Pop star Madonna has fallen off the stage during her performance at the 2015 Brit Awards.

The singer tumbled down a set of stairs and landed awkwardly, apparently after a dancer tried to remove a cape she was wearing at the start of her routine.

However, she recovered and returned to the stage to finish her song, Living For Love.
