The only one I thing will really suck other than Kristy Lee Cook of course is David Cook. His style just does not fit Mariah Carey's music. It'll be similar to last week probably.

Still, I'm glad they're performing her songs. I really never thought I'd see the day. Rather see this than another lineup of Beatles songs.

yeah i like that theyre doing her songs because its something different. however, i would not be surprised if they regret it if all the contestants mess up the songs. i kinda wish they had her last year! i wanna see blake & jordin sing her songs lol.

oh yeah i forgot about bringing on the heartbreak. i still think he will do against all odds. but who knows, he might do something totally unexpected.

I actually think this week is going to be awesome. The key is making the song your own. Mariah has awesome songs that could easily be re-arranged to fit the contestants.

As long as the contestants don't sing the song exactly like Mariah does, it should be great!

That is too predictable; and David wouldn't have to do much to make it more 'rockish' (as far as the arrangement). I'd like to see him take a big risk like he did with 'Hello' a few weeks back.

Whoever can pull of "There's Got To Be A Way" or "Emotions" has my respect. Those are probably the hardest Mariah songs EVER.


EDIT: I think David Cook can sing "Prisoner", it has a rock vibe to it (in case he finds it). If Carly attempts to hit the high notes (not whistle ones) she'll probably crash her range is not as huge as she thinks.
