I got to play the demo at Comic-Con (Thor and Amaterasu were not in this version). I chose Cap, Trish, and Morrigan.

It was pretty spectacular. The game runs smoothly even with all the crap happening on screen. I had to play w/ the joystick, but the buttons were a bit different from MvsC2. Like, there was a separate button for air launching, and to swap characters, you had to hold down on an assist button. Probably not the final layout though.

But I'm looking at the first Marvel Vs. Capcom game and the voice actors who did X-Men characters were the original actors who did the 90's cartoon. So you would think the voice acting would be decent.

The voice acting in the original Vs. games WAS a lot better. I loved Rogue's voice acting in X-Men vs. Street Fighter. . .especially when her voice would squeal when she said "C'MON!!".

Yeah, that seems a little silly; why not just have one of their moves launch them, like an uppercut or something? If it ain't broken, why fix it?

I expect Psylocke at the least... a NEW female would be nice though.

Agreed - Psylocke is all well and good but she's overused - been around since "Children of the Atom"...if I am not mistaken.

Who would be a good new female addition for Marvel?

I've never been a fan of Jubilee - not sure why - her character just isn't interesting. I see your concern about including Jean...

Unlikely to be considered but someone like Domino or Elektra would be good balanced additions, IMHO.

Emma Frost was deconfirmed a while back.

It sucks. She's one of my favorite X-Men females.

I wonder if Storm's coming back?

I don't see Mystique working either, though i'd love her in the game

She could be like Shang Tsung; she'd morph into other characters for a limited amount of time.

That trailer makes the game seem really enticing. I think I am definitely going to pick up a copy of MVC3 when it's released.

I know that she's going to have some different moves from Wolverine in this game, but I would have been more excited had someone else been chosen. X-23 is basically a female version of Wolverine.

Sorry, i'm not really sold on Thor, Dormmamu and Super-Skrull, so this'll do.

I agree that a new character from Marvel rather than the usual fare is welcome, but I also agree with Angel that choosing X-23 was rather odd given that she is literally a female clone of Wolverine (according to the X-Men canon).

Anyway... Here's hoping they announce a few more new characters to the Marvel line up.

I'm still meh about X-23 being added...but at least she moves somewhat differently than Wolverine...she fights like Psylocke sans the mental powers and add claws on her appendages....anyways...its better than getting Bone Claw Wolverine again

but so glad to see Tron Bonne...but I hope this doesn't mean we'll get Megaman Volnutt again..didnt really like him in Tatsunoko vs Capcom

I think if they did her right, Magik could be really interesting in this game. You could be able to switch between regular Illyana or Darkchylde.

I'm guessing Psylocke's going to end up in this sooner or later, but to change it up they should have an option for asian or british Betsy.

Selene could be an interesting choice.
