And just for the record: It's pronounce RAH-min, not RAY-min.

Wait... who says RAY-min? I have never heard that before? And of course the answer is beef ramen with vegetables and a little sesame seed oil. I thought everyone knew that :p

I know a guy who calls them Roman Noodles. It drives me batty.

I've heard a few people pronounce it RAY-min. I politely corrected them by gouging their eyeballs out with a spork.

As for my favorite flavor, "Oriental" is the only vegetarian one, so that's the only kind I eat. But to be perfectly honest, it doesn't taste much like an Oriental to me.

Instant Ramen!? :bartshock :dead:

[-X

Thanks, but I'll pass. I prefer the handmade ramen noodles. They're more delicious ..|

Ever look on the package to see how much salt the packaged ones contain? Get ready to wince.

When I used to eat them I pretty much stuck with chicken and shrimp. Some reason now I can't stand them.

Now days I get those Nong Shim spicy noodles. Or, even better, Thai Kitchen peanut stir fry noodles.

What, no tum yum and kimchi flavours in the poll?

I've eaten both Nissin Top Ramen and Maruchan ramen nodle soup. One store sells boxes of 48 Chicken and beef flavors and another store sells a box of 36 with half beef and half chicken. The best was when it was on sale so cheap with coupons that I got fifteen packs for a buck. I got just about all the flavors that way.
The instructions say to use only part of the little seasoning packet if you need to control sodium intake.
The Nutrition facts say each package has two servings of 190 calories each so I'd cook a whole package for a snack if my weight dropped to 180 lbs.
I sometimes add pieces of chicken/beef, vegetables, etc. to it and add a bullion cube as well. I've also combined the chicken flavor with canned chicken noodle or other chicken soup.

Oriental for me! Loved this back in college and I still eat them every now and again for a quick snack. I do not use the whole flavor pack though. It is supposed to make them healthier or something. My roommate used to drop and egg in his while the noodles were still boiling. I never seen somebody do that before. Anybody else do that?

I can only eat the chicken. After watching The Lost Boys the others make me want to get sick.

I will eat the beef occasionally but prefer the chicken

The pork is very gross to me....well all of them are gross but I get cravings for the chicken one....must be a sodium craving lol

ahaha I loved em as a student..; still love em from time to time

Beef and oriental are the shit !!

I dont think thats very good for you to eat that tho, but still it's cheap !!

Ramen Tuna Salad

Take two packs of noodles, break them in half before cooking

Drain after cooking without adding the packets

Cool the noodles a bit, then add in one can of tuna, some mayo and some thawed frozen peas if you have them

Mix it all up with a *little* bit of one of the seasoning packets and...

Viola ! Enough tuna noodle salad for two meals all for really cheap.

I chose "shrimp" for the poll, but most of the time I just toss the seasoning packet and eat the noodles dry. Like a giant cracker. They're surprisingly good like that!

Anyone else do that?

This is odd. The most surprising use of these, but odd nonetheless. And yes, I would try it, I'll try anything, even raw bacon, which surprisingly I liked back in college.

I've gotten a salad before that was garnished with crushed uncooked ramen noodles. 'Twas oddly nummy.

Of course it is spelt ramen (raymin) but it would have been the easiest thing in the world to spell it rammen if you wanted us to say rammen.

-season 1" pieces of chicken with kosher seasonings, cayenne pepper, and lemon pepper. cook in olive oil till done.
-prepare ramen as directed. once done, let it seep for 10-15 minutes.
-drain ramen, return to pot, add chicken
-big win!

That sounds good. I would have said beef until now, but I think I will have to try it your way.
