Her bandmate Stuart Matthewman shared an interesting anecdote about the recording of Cherish the Day. He said Sade had laid down some of her vocals and he wanted to include a guitar part so he played some random notes for inspiration. Once he figured it out he told her he was ready to record and she told him to keep what he'd already laid down and thus that classic opening was created. It's funny because it sounds smoothly intentional as opposed to random messing around on the guitar.

^That song is so underrated and should've been included on both of her greatest hits sets. Love the message of not giving into defeat despite your tough circumstances while making your dreams come true.

This song never fails to lift my spirits and make me dance (in my head! ).

I doubt there´s an album on the way. This song was done for her trans son, the other members were not involved etc.

A few years ago one of the band members said they were writing and preparing to enter the studio. We'll never get another tour sadly, but one last album would be nice.
