Whitney's voice is NEVER going to be what it once was...She may regain some range and power but it will not be anything like it was during 85 thru 94 and that's ok her fans still love her,that's all that matters..

This song to me shows the best of her current voice...

You know, SexyKev, I hope you are right. And towards that end I hope she

1) Realizes her voice is "rusty," something that DID NOT come out in the Oprah interview,

2) Rehabilitates her voice, as you say, by keeping off the drugs AND cigarettes and

3) Isn't surrounded by "yes" people who will only say that her voice is fantastic and so is the new album. Compared to Madonna, yes, it is. Compared to Whitney Houston pre 1996, no it's not.

Thats one question I wished would have come out in the interview. Oprah should have asked are you concern with the changes to your voice. I mean she's deeper but I wasn't surprised and did Whitney get new teeth because the way she speaks is different.

Yeah, she'll definitely regain some range, clarity and power now that she is off drugs and her body/voice is still in recovery/healing mode.

Yes she will..I am a die hard Aretha fan..When Aretha stopped smoking in 1992 it took a min for her voice to start to gain some range and clarity back...I really hate that any other them ever picked up a cig!!...

Ever time I see this pic of Aretha when she was 19 with a cig in her hand,I wish I could go back in time and let her know "hey that's going to really effect your voice when you get older!!"

Oh well still love em....

Yeah, it really is a big shame that many of the great grand singers with untouchable voices have turned to cigs and/or drugs or alcohol at some point in their lives.

....3 weeks after the album came out, mind you. And its STILL at the top of the chart; currently sitting pretty at #2, behind Jay-Z.

...with NO hit single, either. That's AWESOME.

Already Gold in just 3 weeks (in the U.S alone!). Platinum, here she comes!

What I love about the song is that it speaks to someone like me, who has been stressed and pressured by challenges, threats, and opportunities. Yet I was out at an elegant club, dressed in beautiful clothing, lightly misted with delicious fragrance feeling like a "Million Dollar Bill!" Just like my girl. We know her voice is not there yet. But just give it time. It will be back before long, better than ever.
