Girl, please. Give it up. Her new album REMAINS as one of the biggest selling albums of 2009 by a female. How is that a disaster? Totally out-performed Mariah's new album, and "I Look To You" is still selling better than Mariah's "Memoirs", which came out AFTER Whitney's mind you. Whitney sold more than Kelly Clarkson's new album and totally shit on Rihanna's new album in terms of the album's debut number and sales (and Rihanna still got nominated. Wtf? Lol!) So where is the "disaster"? Whitney's new album was a WORLDWIDE SUCCESS. Everyone knows the Grammy voters jus totally snubbed Whitney. Totally flawed and biased voters. But its ok. It's not right, but it's ok....

Whitney's new album REMAINS as one of the biggest selling albums of 2009 by a female, no matter how you want to look at the situation. "I Look To You" totally out-performed Mariah's new album, and "I Look To You" is still selling better than Mariah's "Memoirs", which came out after Whitney's mind you. Whitney sold more than Kelly Clarkson's new album and totally shit on Rihanna's new album in terms of the album's debut number and sales (and Rihanna still got nominated. Wtf? Lol!) That's really great, but to help you more understand what I meant: I didn't mean what her fans have done for her. I meant what she's done during her comeback. It's been just "okay".

All I want for Christmas is for you to realize that I''m not a hater. But you're certainly showing signs with those comments about Mariah and Rihanna.

So what if Whitney didn't have the biggest selling first week sales by a female this year.
So what if Whitney didn't get a single Grammy Award nomination.

All that should matter to you is that YOU like the cd.

I would have predicted her as a grammy fav..but seems not..but hey lately they noms have been about the new artist..& who's hot...before alot of nominations were unknown..upcoming artist added with popular...seems like it changed..wanted Britney to get more noms :D..

It's very interesting how everyone is surprised she didn't received a single nomination. Not because it was worthy but because the entire cd and marketing campaign seemed to be geared towards it.

"Despite the love directed at the industry's divas, there were some unexpected omissions, points out Billboard editorial director Bill Werde, who says he was surprised that Whitney Houston was overlooked. "The Grammy voters usually pay attention to the whole trajectory of a career," he says, adding that in this case, Houston's comeback album was not just good, but had a couple of what he considers great songs, as well as being a remarkable return for a major artist."

Billboard Grammy Poll Results:

Billboard.com also commented about Whitney Houston's missing Grammy nominations when it reported the results of its Grammy nominations reader poll. In the poll, Whitney received 865 votes for Album of The Year, making the top 5 list of those eligible to be nominated, even though her album had to be written in as a suggestion to even be included in the poll. When it reported the poll results, Billboard wrote: "Just like Billboard.com readers, we thought Whitney Houston was a shoe-in for multiple Grammy nominations for her much-heralded -- and much-loved -- return to music 'I Look To You.' The album is mediocre at best. There were no major hits from it, so why are people so shocked that it was snubbed??

Whitney needed to come MUCH harder than what she did to have been a contender.

Of course, her stans all up in arms to the extent of posting quotes from other sources, but the truth is that the material she released didn't warrant any nominations. Move on...
