Tired of all these fake, non-singing, LIP-synching ass broads who are more focused on selling sex and shaking their ass rather than making good quality music and crafting some CLASSICS.

A countdown clock has been posted on Whitney Houston’s official website (www.whitneyhouston.com) where fans can track the seconds until the release of the former Country Club of the South resident’s loong-awaited new album Sept. 1.
The as-yet-untitled comeback vehicle will be released on Arista, via her singer’s longtime record label. The project has been overseen by Clive Davis, the veteran music mogul who was instrumental in successfully launching Houston’s career 25 years ago.
We immediately rang, Mark Trigg, Houston’s Atlanta attorney to see if we might pry a few additional details out of him. Alas, Trigg wouldn’t officially confirm that he’s heard the project.
“I’m sworn to secrecy,” Trigg told Buzz. “I can tell you this: people have a very good reason to be excited. They will not be disappointed. She’s been working very hard on this and she’s very proud of the project.”
Billboard.com is reporting that Black Eyed Peas member will i am and Atlanta’s own Akon have lent some producing and songwriting (and perhaps some vocal assist) to the album as well.

The producers probably destroyed auto-tune trying to create this CD. Then again, there's Britney Spears so there's probably still hope for auto-tune in the future. Auto-tune is the real celebrity that should be adored and worshipped, but I digress...

hell yeah, i read about this yesterday. i'm glad Ms. Houston is coming back with another cd. I've loved her since "You Give Good Love" and minus all the other drama(we all go through some more than others) in her life. She's past that and i'm looking forward to this.

You better get your cousin! Anyway, I'm not hating on Whitney Houston; I love her and she was easily one of the most talented vocalists to ever grace the entertainment industry. However, like Mariah, her voice is gone; she could not even speak without her voice cracking. Not to mention, she's smoked away her upper register, so it's gone to be interesting to hear what has been enhanced with studio magic.
In other news...speaking of auto-tune - Mariah was just on Access Hollywood and spoke about Whitney coming back. Saying "Honestly I haven't spoken to her in a long time, but I'm sure whatever she does is gonna be brilliant."

It's a tad premature to already ASSUME she's going to be using auto-tune or studio magic. Whitney is a REAL singer who doesn't lip-synch at all. She's had many oppurtunities to lip-it when her voice was shot to hell but she chose not to cuz that's not what she's about. She always gives what she's capable of at the moment so I HIGHLY doubt she'll be getting much help if any from studio magic if she knows she CAN'T deliver it live.
And even if she does get some "tweaking", she definitely wouldn't be the first. Most artists probably do, and studio magic was all over Mariah's Emancipation cd. And it sold...even when she wasn't able to match the records live.
