Whitney Houston’s comeback campaign seems quite contrived. It’s as if we are getting ready to watch the new Whitney Houston Comeback movie with people jumping, crying, and screaming, “Welcome back Whitney!” Let’s face it: America loves comebacks. Whitney Houston could deliver absolute musical crap and the media will still love it.

However, it doesn’t sound like Whitney Houston is going to be releasing crap. Music industry insiders say that the most important aspect of Whitney Houston’s comeback campaign is to remind people why they fell in love with Whitney Houston in the first place: her great voice, her irresistible ballads, and her fun dance songs. Her new album, which is rumored to be titled Undefeated, will be released on September 1.

Whitney Houston is playing it very smart by putting out a new album with 80s dance music that is similar to "How Will I Know" and " I Wanna Dance With Somebody." There will also be sweeping ballads similar to "I Will Always Love You" and "Greatest Love of All."

Madonna and Mariah Carey should be taking notes. People really don’t want to see women over forty get down and dirty with rappers and pretend they are twenty-years old again. Mariah Carey thought she would interrupt the buzz surrounding Whitney Houston’s comeback by releasing her album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, the week before. Judging by Mariah’s horrid new single "Obsessed," which was just released today, Whitney doesn’t have much to worry about.

I mean, I'm glad they're taking their time and dotting every I and crossing every T to make sure Whitney comes back in the light she deserves.... but my GAWD! September 1st?!?! I'm impatient! It's a double-edged sword. I waited all year for summer to get here -- and I want this summer to take it's lazy time -- and now that it's almost here, I'm antsy for the fall!

I just hope they drop like a hint, or a flavor or smidgen of something over the summer just to give me a little fix.

I'm so nostalgic! I'm a child of the 80's and I was listening to I'm Your Baby Tonight earlier and it took me back to when me and my girls used to choreograph routines in the driveway to that song!

I can't wait till Sept 1st gets closer. I think we'll be getting the first single soon tho. And according to her official site, we'll be getting the title of the album soon! They sent out this email update:

...where do I start. hmmm - we'll I have heard what has been finished on the Whitney album and I can safely say she is back. There is a cut on there where she is singing as great as she did in the hey day. The album is great and true Whitney - hence the long time in getting it right. As for remixers - it is always dependent on the song and who would be best to turn that song out.

Interesting discussion on the Freemasons. I would of said yes to the Freemason's two years ago, but to me - and correct me if I am wrong - Beyonce has pretty much owned them and for Whitney to use them would be following in the single ladies footsteps. Whitney has always been a ground breaker. It's Not Right was the first big break for Thunderpuss 2000 - Jonathan Peters came into his own with My Love Is Your Love.

Now lets get to Junior - today is a different day and everyone knows it including him, but for all the under 30's here - what Junior did with Whitney remixes at the club was nothing short of phenomenal and helped break many of the mixes by playing them so creatively for up to 45 minutes - many mixes he did were for his own personal use. Can any US dj break a record or mix from the club and have it cross to radio today?

So i ask you? Who is the new Thunderpuss today - who is that remix team that has yet to break but has the talent to take a Whitney record and make it even stronger like TP did with It's Not Right, which their version ultimately became the Top 40 hit. Same with JP and My Love.

Whitney is back and the first single drops in July with mixes to follow very quickly.​

Whitney Houston Comeback Confirmed!

According to her official website, one of the greatest Divas of all time, Whitney Houston, is set to release her comeback album which is rumored to be titled, “Undefeated” on September 1st, 2009! I’m beyond excited for her! The album is set to feature production from today’s top producers, including Stargate and Swizz Beats.

Her lead single, “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength” was penned by longtime collaborators Diane Warren and David Foster. Foster also worked with Whitney on her classic hit “I Will Always Love You”. Whitney Houston Comeback Album Remains Top Secret

Whitney Houston’s camp has confirmed the singer’s comeback with an album slated to drop Septemeber 1st. But for now, that’s all you’re going to get. The new album, rumored to be titled Undefeated, has been kept under lock and key. Singer and cousin Dionne Warwick recently stated, “I haven’t heard anything from it yet.” According to Warrick, Whitney told her “you’re going to hear it when everyone else does.”

Now that’s a diva for you. Warwick’s not the only one eager to hear this much anticipated album. We all miss Whitney!

For those of you who don't read the Entertainment part of this website, Whitney Houston is back. Please keep all the "Crack is whack" and other dumb things to yourself.


I for one, am excited to hear what she sounds like and what type of music she'll sing. There is only on Whitney Houston.

I honestly hope she makes it. Her "fall from grace" is one of the sadder things I can recall from recent years. Whether I was a fan or not, the woman was on top of the world for a while and it was inspiring. She helped break down barriers that never went back up. I'd love to see her come back and have one more go. The world may have moved on from her and maybe she's lost it but if so I'll remember her as she was before all the problems.
