Shrugs my shoulders. When I heard Beyonce had 10 and Taylor Swift had 8, I knew the awards were garbage as it has been for long time. I can't honestly say when was the last time I watched an entire Grammys ceremony. Decent music gets slept on by the masses and by those in the industry, so if you don't sell your dignity for a dollar or isn't a media whore then chances are you are wasting your time trying to get a Grammy nowadays.

The Grammys is the same as the AMAs, an awards ceremony based on how many spins you can get on radio rather than how talented or well-orchestrated your album was...

WOW!! She really does sound amazing! She really is getting better with each performance it seems. Im so proud of her. Her voice is getting way stronger and she's back to hitting them crystal clear high notes again. Im really excited to hear MORE from her tour now. This was just the FIRST NIGHT, so you know shes going to get better. WOW :=D:

WOW!!! I am VERY impressed! She really does sound amazing in many places. Shes back to hitting those crystal clear high notes again and her range is getting better as she sings more it seems. I guess that theory of her just being "rusty" was true. Shes been out of the game for so long and now shes getting back into the swing of things. Im so happy for her! I KNEW she still had it. Really cant wait to hear MORE from the tour now. This was just the FIRST NIGHT......so you know shes going to be really blowing us away later into the tour!! YES WHITNEY!!

THESE two are my favorites!! WOW. The Saving all my love for you performance blows me away. She really is showing signs of her old self now. This GREAT!! to go from that DISAPPOINTING Good Morning America performance to sounding like THIS in just a matter of a few months is VERY impressive!! she needs to keep on doing whatever it is she has been doing because her voice is improving dramatically.

As far as the Grammy Awards you would be singing a different tune if she would have been nominated for just a single one..

If Ms. Houston ever manages to get ANY sort of nomination or Honorary award will you denounce it?

wow. Its so nice that they included that photo of whitney in their list of best images of 2009. That really says alot. Its such an ICONIC image. I have it set as my desktop wallpaper on my pc.

MTV reports that Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" has been sampled by Lil Wayne protégé rapper Gudda Gudda for his mixtape "Guddaville." Since this is a mixtape, it is an unofficial use of Whitney's song. You can download the track from HotNewHipHop.com. The rapper said the following about his song, "Always Love You," which features Nicki Minaj and Short Dawg. "Me and Nicki was in the studio one night trying to get something going. We heard the Whitney Houston sample, pulled the beat up, and Whitney was on the sample saying, 'I will always love you.' The obvious choice would have been to speak on a female or dude. We was like, 'Let's speak on our cities and how much we love where we from.' I was like, 'We could get somebody else on it.' I ran into Short Dawg. He was like, 'Let me hear the joint. ... I love it.' He put a verse on it. We did it. New Orleans, H-Town, New York."

Whitney Houston took "Man In The Mirror" to church last night in Russia and then gave a heartfelt speech about her dear friend Michael.

Whitney sang "Man in the Mirror' then a bit of 'Never can say goodbye' and 'Missing You' before giving a speech in which she asked the crowd to applaud Michael for giving 5 decades of his life to music and for us all. She then went straight into "I Will Always Love You" in which she broke down in tears.

A very personal and heartfelt dedication from Whitney that I have been waiting to see.

On the Adult R&B airplay chart, Whitney Houston reigns for the first time in six years, as "Million Dollar Bill" rises 2-1. The track is Houston's first No. 1 on the list since "One of Those Days" in 2003.

With her latest coronation, Houston enters a four-way tie for second-most No. 1s in the chart's history with Toni Braxton, Brian McKnight and Luther Vandross. Alicia Keys leads with eight career No. 1s.

Perhaps Houston's ascension to the summit will take away some of the sting of her not being nominated for a 2010 Grammy Award.
