The shot looks great, but what is it with artists having instruments in shots when they've had no history of playing any kind of instrument? First, Chris Brown and now Whitney.

WOW.....whitney looks AMAZING in that new pic with the guitar!! That should have been the album cover for I look to you. Or one of the pics inside the booklet. Beautiful! i cant wait to see the other shots that will go in the tour book!!! Oh and Angelfromabove....lots of artists who dont play instruments take photographs with instruments as props. Whitney does play the piano though. Beyonce and rihanna are another two artists who dont play instruments but take photographs with them.....

Also, i bought the rerelease of the "Whitney Houston" album and looooove it!! The interview was nice, the performances are amazing, and the songs sound so crisp and clear. All fans should pick it up!!

^LOL -- a fellow stan. Got my copy of "Whitney Houston: The Deluxe Anniversary Edition" today! I ordered it from Amazon.com and it came right on time like it said it would. Love Amazon! Luv the little sticker on the front of the packaging that says "The album that created the superstar!" -- and the little outer sleeve that goes over the album is shiny and hologram-like. And I absolutely LOVE the booklet and all the wonderful pictures of Whitney they included in it. And the in-depth conversation with Clive Davis.

Nice little video interview w/ Whitney and Clive on the DVD. LOVED the live performances, especially the "You Give Good Love" performance (one of my all-time fav performances of that song), and the performance of "I Am Changing" (the ENTIRE performance from start to finish, btw. Not just that shortened clip that's been around on youtube) was absolutely awesome. Whitney was saaaangin!

I think this re-release cd/dvd package is something that any true Whitney-fan should go out and buy. Nice little collector's item to add to your current Whitney collection. Very nice attractive booklet, nice thank you letter from Whitney, nice in-depth interview from Clive in the booklet, great remastered sound of the original classic songs, nice remixes and some GREAT live performances. Nice re-release. Luv it.

Osama bin Laden is back in the news as of Saturday in an audio tape aired on Al Jazeera claiming responsibility for the failed Christmas day bombing attempt of Northwest Airlines Flight 253.

Since every other publication is carrying this news, we wanted to offer up this other scandalous story.

Osama bin Laden is infatuated with Whitney Houston and had planned to murder her then-husband Bobby Brown according to claims by bin Laden’s former sex slave.

Sudanese poet and author Kola Boof recently published Diary of a Lost Girl claiming she was bin Laden’s sex slave for four months a decade ago, and he was infatuated with Whitney.

“He told me Whitney Houston was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen,” Boof writes in her book.

“Osama kept coming back to Whitney Houston.

“He asked if I knew her personally when I lived in America. I told him I didn’t.

“He said that he had a paramount desire for Whitney Houston, and although he claimed music was evil he spoke of someday spending vast amounts of money to go to America and try to arrange a meeting with the superstar.

“It didn’t seem impossible to me. He said he wanted to give Whitney Houston a mansion that he owned in a suburb of Khartoum.

“…he would be willing to break his color rule and make her one of his wives.

“Whitney Houston’s name was the one that would be mention constantly – how beautiful she was, what a nice smile she has, how truly Islamic she is but is just brainwashed by American culture and by her husband Bobby Brown, whom Osama talked about having killed, as if it were normal to have women’s husbands killed.”

I LOVED the BET Honors tribute!! Kim Burrell SLAYED with her performance of "I Believe In You And Me". Love how she personalized the song and sang it from the heart right to Whitney. Whitney was totally feeling it. And she was genuinely surprised when Ne-Yo introduced Kim to the stage. LOL! Whitney jumped right up and jetted to the front of the stage and said, "Come on girl, you betta sang that song!" Afterall, Kim is one of Whit's fav singers. BET did good at booking Kim to surprise Whitney.

Absolutely LOVED Whitney's speech! It was totally REAL and straight from the heart. So touching! Whitney is truly in a better place and closer to God now. She was totally comfortable in her environment with her people/peers and jus lettin lose and soakin in all the love. Loved how she said "It's a wonderful feeling to be looked at and not be judged." Wow, that spoke volumes. And when she said "Be judged not for your flaws, but for your triumphs." And how she reminded everyone that we should lift each other up. REAL TALK!! Whitney was speakin the truth last night.

....I was mad that they didn't show the part where Ne-Yo presented her with the plaque for her album selling over 2 Million albums tho! Oh well....

I think it was a conspiracy by weave to shut out Whitney from the nominations because everyone knows that weave father is on the nominating commitee.


If Whitney was nominated the voters would have voted for Whitney in the r&b categories and weave would have lost everything.

“I will meet Korean fans first on this tour. This is my first performance in Korea, but I’m excited as if I’m going on my first world tour.”

Pop diva Whitney Houston wrote this in an e-mail interview yesterday, adding, “I will truly present Whitney’s music rather than just show many things.”

She arrives in Korea today and will perform at the Olympic Park Gymnasium in Seoul Saturday and Sunday evenings.

Houston has battled drug addiction, an unhappy marriage with singer Bobby Brown, and eventually divorce. In September last year, however, she released her new album “I Look To You” and will begin her first tour in a decade in Seoul.

Her world tour is named “Nothin’ But Love” after a song in her new album. “I chose this title because what I had under any circumstance was love,” she said.

“I wouldn’t have overcome tough times without my mom and my daughter. My daughter is especially like a friend who supported me and stayed with me at the studio when I was working on the album.”

Houston debuted in 1985 with her self-titled album, and since won six Grammys and sold as many as 170 million albums.

whitney looks really good. Her face is just flawless.....wow she is 46 and even with little makeup on she barely have any wrinkles and her skin is glowing and she just looks super healthy and on the right path now. Shes aging really well. So happy for her. And with her hair like that she remind me of her 1988 outdoor concert for Nelson mandela. i wish i could find the pics to post here, but there are videos of it on youtube.

My work for Whitney Houston

I have not posted that much on the blog recently, and that is because I’ve been busy as hell. Other than working full-time at Nova doing one TV ad for Absolu Communication, shooting two TV shows and designing the packaging for both these shows, I was hired by Geodezik to work with Nomig to do some animation work for Whitney Houston’s next tour. My mission was to create an animation for the song My Love is your Love that will be projected on a huge screen behind Whitney and the band while they perform. The final result (animated of course) looks like this:



It is a 4-minute long animation that pans from left to right to reveal graphic elements that relate to the lyrics of the song. The lyrics refer of course to love, but also to death, poverty and war. But of course, it didn’t happen like this at first. We tried various concepts and styles throughout the process. Here are some stills of the progression of the overall concept.
