Re: New Whitney Album/Song/Performance/Nominations [Mega-Merged Thread]

AMEN! :=D:

She does look FLAWLESS. And to be 46 years old, have battled a longtime drug addiction, went through all the crap she has over the years and can STILL manage to look this good today -- is pretty damn amazing.

........................................fan-taken pictures from the latest Melbourne show. :-)

Wow, those are some great quality snapshots! Whitney getting thick too. Its a good look on her. she looks super healthy and I love her outfits for this tour.

Hmmm...

I don't suppose your last 6 or 7 'bunping' posts of unwarranted adulation could have been some sort of unsubtle attempt to push my more realistic comment here: http://www.justusboys.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5906870&postcount=745 back to the previous page?

Just in case - I'll copy it again ;)

This was what I posted:

Are you kidding me? If that is 'good', I don't really think I would want to see bad.

She doesn't even look half as good as Tina Turner did at 69 years of age (half her age again). What's more, Tina had been through plenty of trials & tribulations in her own life (tho' not so much of the 'self inflicted' type) and could STILL sing and put on a hell of show.

I really can't understand this penchant of some Americans for giving mediocre to awful 'entertainers', who can no longer entertain (or possibly never could if we are talking about Britney) a free pass for their past reputations or false media hype.

Re: New Whitney Album/Song/Performance/Nominations [Mega-Merged Thread]

lol huh? what are u talking about? me doing that had nothing to do with your post. It is just YOUR opinion, afterall. Youre entitled to it. If u have been following this thread, you would know that EvilTwinTwo likes to come in here and flood the thread with his hater posts. And always, when there is only a few more posts left at the end of a page before the next page starts, he usually tries to take advantage of it and does his 5 or 6 "bumping" posts just so he can start the next page with something HATEFUL. I just went on ahead and beat him to the punch. lol

Re: New Whitney Album/Song/Performance/Nominations [Mega-Merged Thread]

@ TriBi -- I respect ya -- but CHILD PLEASE.

Tina Turner Vs. Whitney Houston? Going by Looks/Beauty? Are you serious?

Now I aint tryna say Tina Turner is unnattractive, but she sure as hell aint winning nobodies Beauty Contest during this lifetime. Neither today, or during her prime. Tina's beauty doesn't even come close to Whitney Houston's beauty. Who do you think YOU'RE kidding with that comment? :rotflmao: Miss Tina is NOT all that easy on the eyes, as Whitney Houston is. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but trust me when I say...

....hmm, anyway. That was a good laugh to start the day with. Gonna leave it alone now...

G'Day, mate.

Exactly! Right on. Just look at the previous two pages. He made like 5 or 6 posts just so he could start the next page with a negative article. Glad you caught on to his tactics as well. He is so ridiculous it aint even funny anymore. :-({|= That boy needs help. He has let his bitter obsession for Whitney Houston get wayyy out of hand and take over his whole online presence on this forum. He can't go into a thread without mentioning Whitney or without somehow connecting the subject to Whitney and her sales. Quite sad if you ask me. :-({|=

Re: New Whitney Album/Song/Performance/Nominations [Mega-Merged Thread]

Whitney warms to welcoming crowd

* CANDICE KELLER

ADELAIDE came to judge pop icon Whitney Houston for themselves last night and gave her Nothing But Love.

As she belted out the opening notes of For The Lovers with ease at the Entertainment Centre, her dedicated and enthusiastic fans jumped out of their seats, instantly screaming and dancing for their idol who did not disappoint.

Although her prime may have passed, Houston proved she's still keen to show some sex appeal as she strutted the stage in skin-tight silver shiny pants and thrust her hips toward her all male dance team.

However, when the first song closed the soul star that brought the world hits including I Wanna Dance With Somebody and I Will Always Love You took a few moments, a couple of deep breaths and composed herself to the sound of rapturous applause.

She addressed her fans after the second song saying "I've got nothing but love for you Adelaide" then serenaded the three-quarter full stadium claiming "I love you, I love you, I love you, thank you".

Houston, 46, introduced her daughter Bobby Kristina to the Adelaide crowd for her 17th birthday. The crowd sang Happy Birthday amid cake, tears and hugs from her mother.

The pop diva for all ages has always been able to cause a stir and her Nothing But Love Tour, which kicked off in Brisbane last week, has come laden with controversy.

Fans and critics alike have labelled her show the "worst ever" and had no hesitation in dissing her once-stellar vocal ability.

Yet there were no visible cracks in the early stages of her performance as she went for every note and shimmied around the stage. She did take some drink breaks - and acknowledged them to the crowd saying "you will see me touch my bottle, it's really water, don't get it twisted" - and regrouped from time to time.

After the first set she started to appear a bit breathless while asking the crowd to pray for Haiti.

Since the first show in Brisbane, reports have been mixed. Perhaps this is a result of lowered expectations, or perhaps the crowds are now more accepting their wonder woman has had a hard life. Surviving drug problems and an abusive relationship with former husband Bobby Brown has no doubt left Whitney a little weary.
Yet despite the bad press - and perhaps in spite of it - Houston tried to power on and continue to please her faithful devotees who have rolled out almost $200 to to see their hero.

People Magazine...

Whitney Houston Surprises Daughter with Cake – and Tunes – on Stage

Whitney Houston added two new songs to her set during her concert Wednesday in Adelaide, Australia.

Halfway through the show, during the "unplugged" portion when Houston, 46, performs old hits, she announced it was her daughter Bobbi Kristina's 17th birthday, a source close to the singer tells PEOPLE. Houston then sang "Who Would Imagine a King" from The Preacher's Wife. "[It's] one of Krissy's favorites," the source says, "and is not in the show."

Then a birthday cake was rolled out on stage, and Houston invited her daughter to come up, joined by her dancers and another tune – "Happy Birthday," which was sung by the entire audience.

Mother and daughter also celebrated the occasion in Sydney earlier in the week during a stop on the singer's Nothing But Love world tour.

"They rented a beautiful boat and took a four-hour cruise all around Sydney Harbor with Krissy's friends, the dancers and family members," adds the source.

"That was the pre-birthday celebration. The cake at the concert was a complete surprise to Krissy. She had no idea!"

Move over Tina Turner - Whitney Houston's out to steal your crown for best legs in showbiz.

And considering the 46-year-old was wearing kneehigh socks with her sparkly mini dress, that's pretty good going.

She showed off her new hot bod on the first night of her tour in Tokyo. Perhaps it's because of all that larking around with her tasty young dancers at her hotel.

Re: New Whitney Album/Song/Performance/Nominations [Mega-Merged Thread]

I just had a look at post histories...seems that a couple of posters have been making around 80% or more of their recent posts in one (this) thread.

Given the nature of those posts - that might just be enough to make me (like almost everyone else) avoid this thread in the future.

I'll let you have your adulation zone - I've already made my feelings known - & for me that is enough. I have no need to harp on about it several times every day :D

Re: New Whitney Album/Song/Performance/Nominations [Mega-Merged Thread]

^ LOL - oh, whatever! :p

....you don't have to deal with EvilTwinTwo and his never-ending smear campaign against your most favorite singer/diva.

I'm TOO much of a stan to simply let him run a muck, trying to make my girl look as bad as he possibly can at any chance he gets. That's why I harp on it. ..|

LOVE YA! (*8*):kiss::wave:

Re: New Whitney Album/Song/Performance/Nominations [Mega-Merged Thread]

Tribit,

Looks like you figured out SexyKevTaurean79's modus operandi:

SexyKevTaurean79 trolls the interenet 24/7 looking for Whitney info.

SexyKevTaurean79 comes to the Whitney thread and makes several postings. Some from credible sources, others that are laughable. Parasite Hilton?

In an attempt to bump the thread up, SexyKevTauren79 quotes the posts and responds with something to the effect of " go whit".

I come in and post an alternative response. Posts that aren't inline with SexyKevTauren79's point of view are instantly labeled "HATEFUL" "hater posts" "negative article" "never-ending smear campaign". Can't you just accept the fact that their are other valid opinions?

SexyKevTauren79 then goes frantic posting articles to refute the opposing point of view. And the cycle continues.#-o

As for Tina Turner, there's no way you can even think of mentioning WH in the same sentence. She's a true LEGEND, a real ICON. Someone had a post in the Hot Topics about Top Money makers for 2009. Tina Turner came in at 29, earning $13,1169,806. At 71 she still has it compared to WH at 46. Tina is beautiful inside and out.

http://www.billboard.com/#/news/money-makers-page-1-1004071200.story

Notice how quickly SexyKevTaurean79 dismissed "YOUR opinion" but since you're a JUB Admn you were spared the warm words that follow my posts. Several unwarranted adulation postings followed. So the cycle begins.

I'm glad you mentioned that only "some Americans" for giving mediocre to awful 'entertainers', who can no longer entertain (or possibly never could if we are talking about Britney) a free pass for their past reputations or false media hype. Not all of us are as delusional as SexyKevTaurean79. I would say I'm a true fan of WH because I can accept her limitations.

While the Koreans and Japanese were simply too polite, Australians call it as they see it. She has set the bar so low now that she could send out an overweight sweaty drag queen to lip synch her songs and no one would care.

Australia will soon be able to exhale as the "Couldn't Entertain A Dead Rat Tour" concludes. (!)

Re: New Whitney Album/Song/Performance/Nominations [Mega-Merged Thread]

The overwhelming love from Australians. Just wonderful. :luv:
