Many on the right believe that if Obama were to override "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", it would lower the morale of troops. They claim that some "heterosexual" men aren't comfortable bunking with openly gay men. Is that a legitimate arguement?

I was in the military eons ago.
I can tell you that instead of homosexuals making heterosexuals uncomfortable, it was the other way around. The overall atmosphere was Uber-macho, so the gay men in our unit were under incredible pressure to conform to this macho zeitgeist.
Do you SERIOUSLY think that's a legitimate excuse for barring gays and lesbians from serving in the military?So men and women can't shower/sleep together , etc, but gay men and straight men can?
