Just as a curiosity...I thought it'd be nice to share this with y'all.


Patti's been a LGBT supporter for countless years now...all the more reason to love her. Her little speech was short, simple but to the point.

Prince's BET Awards Tribute

A bevy of music stars are on tap to perform a tribute to Prince during Sunday night's BET Awards.

Sources close to the production hint that avant-garde rock & soul wonder Janelle Monae, and Patti LaBelle will be among a handful of female singers hand-selected (by Prince) to do the honors of performing a medley of his hits.

Patti LaBelle is awesome. She's also underrated.

Like Patti, Prince is one of my favorite artists of all time.

Is Alicia Keys really pregnant? Chris almost had my respect then he messed up my favorite michael jackson song. When he started it I said eek but then I saw he was crying hysterically. I was like "damn finish the song." I still think he is crazy. Speaking of crazy Im mad he won the viewers choice. Guess his female fans care more about his dick then him beating a woman.

Chris's performance was simply amazing. he was in the moment and I'm not surprised the Media is saying his tears on stage was "staged"...

The Prince Tribute was great...Alicia wore that Piano out...Janelle is so talented and I LOVE her energy...

Patti is a monster-wailer but I wish she would have stuck to the lyrics..She wailed for 4-min...She brought the Drama though..LOL...


Prince is Beautiful as ever...


I Like El Debarge but he got waaaay too much air-time..I mean, really?


Did we need to see Mike Eps twice?


I Love Alicia but is she DEMANDING to perform Twice every time she appears @ an awards show?


Monica & Deniece Williams did a great job...


Kanye & Slim Shady did their usual thing..


Lorenze Tate is still a good-looking Brotha..His Ass was looking good in those Black-slacks...


I'm not a Fan of Trey Songzz and that Crapy ballad song he did was a waste..He should NOT have won over Maxwell in thes BEST Male Category....he's a Good looking Dude though..


Tyrese did a good Job with Teddy's Hit..


Usher was Ursher..


Good show but it should not have gone over 3 1/2 hours...And that so-called Post-show Hosted by Puffy was all-about Puffy...He bragged about his HOT dancers and the Twin Models the whole time..He mentioned CIROC-Vodka every 5-seconds...And the Fucker was on his cell @ the same time...

They got about 5 Performers/Presenters to SIT on the couch and Puffy did all the talking...I know Janelle & El Debarge wondered why they were there...They were treated like "After-the-show" seat-fillers so Puffy could hold up his cup of Vodka & advertise..

The BET Awards was a mess as usual. Prince is still a pretty bitch, his facial expression towards Trey Songz's "tribute" was priceless. He did not approve of that. Patti, Janelle and that stranger bitch (don't know her name) did the thing, Stealicia ruined one of my fave Prince songs. Those notes were too high for her. I was disappointed that Prince didn't perform and with the song choices, I wanted to hear "The Beautiful Ones" or "Diamonds and Pearls"

I really liked the awards this year. I just wish there were a few other latinos representing in the audience besides Lala & Carmelo Anthony. Poor Trey songs, his performance was cringe worthy. I swear that Prince gagged for a minute.Usher was fierce and I was rooting for Chris B to finish Man in the mirror, very touching moment. I was living for Miss El Debarge until he sang "Rhythm of the night", But his slow jams were the shit back in the days. Miss Denise Williams was another fierce moment, loved it. Queen Latifah basically came out last night when she said something like "I'm always surrounded by beautiful women". I'm glad they paid homage to Teddy Pendigras. Fun show.

Agreed, agreed. I did not appreciate Trey Songz's cover either, but Prince played it as cool as he could with his dislike of Trey's tribute. I have to give Alicia Keys credit for trying, but the song was beyond her range.

^I agree. I really wanted him to break of 'WDC' and bring the house down. Trey Songz just proved how average of a singer he is. If he wasn't pretty, he wouldn't be that popular.

I also agree that Alicia's song was way too high for her but I do think she worked it out though.

But the moment of the night was Chris Brown's performance. If that was staged, the boy deserves an Oscar. Because I felt every single moment of it.
