I didnt get to watch it live so I fast-forward through a few segments via DVR...


Kevin hart did a great job...He was funnier than I thought he'd be...


Love the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul Mary J. opening the show...We can always count on Mary to be "Mary"...


...LOL...Cee Lo is a fool...I've got to do some research on him. I know very little about his start in Music...

Marsha sang her face off.....She has totally reinvented herself...It's as if she's not even the same Chick from the Duo "Floetry"....She's not afraid to soar into the octaves...

Shirley Ceasar was sanging and you almost expected her to fly with that cape on her shoulders...

Beyonce is a a Modern-day "Diana Ross".....Her performances are spectacular and her "Machine" is sweeping the world...


Jill Scott is simply Sensational...


I havent watched the Kelly Rowland segment so I gotta see that since that performance is all the Buzz...

They couldn't manage a better tribute than that for the inimitable Patti Labelle? C'mon now.

Why couldn't the BET-Awards-folks have begged advice from the Soul-Train-Awards-folks about how to do a proper tribute? The tribute for Anita Baker @ the last Soul Train Awards was class. And how many women were in the lineup to sing (very well) for Chaka Khan the year before that?

Marsha A. handled the head notes well, but her chest voice is much better than she showed. Methinks she be nervous, aye!

Kelly R. always looks hot. But she ain't foolin' nobody. She lip-synced almost all of her song. Pity, that.

The Young Lady that does those YouTube skits featuring Patti is BEYOND talented. She truly has a Gift that should be making her Millions...She sings, she does impressions, she remixes music and videos...Her talent is "Scary" and hopefully one day a scout will notice her on YouTube and snatch her up...

Yes, the person is very talented. And the guy who does Whitney (Jamaal), he is talented too and gets her spot on. He's a friend of mine on facebook. I've watched this video 100 times and laugh my ass off each time
