This is a travesty. The accused predator is innocent until proven guilty. However, the problem appears to be with the judicial system and certain individuals for fucking up and not getting the opportunity to prove his guilt. Child molestation is a flashpoint in our society like no other. Murder schmurder, but don't fuck with my kids. For that reason, the legal system must be deliberate in adjudging the accused. Children can lie or confabulate or tell the truth about what was done to them. For justice to prevail, this must be sorted out. I knew a white guy who was like Norman Normal....even a hot Norman Normal. Not so normal, though. Baby sitting and more with two brothers under 10 caught him 30 years. Mark Salling, "Puck" on Glee, just offed himself rather than face sentencing for up to 7 years for child pornography. Jared, the guy that lost weight eating Subway, is doing hard time for 15 years. The American Justice System discriminates against minorities, the poor, the under represented. No question. For the guy charged with child molestation, I tend to think that he just got out on a technicality in the law that was beyond the discretion of the Court. The judges have to be very aware of the risk this guy poses to children. But the risk of denying his rights (albeit through no effort on his part) is probably the worse of two bad choices, because the right to a fair and speedy trial one can't treat arbitrarily or on a case-by-case basis. It would then NOT be impartial.
