The Pianist In Concert

I'm going to be buying my tickets tomorrow from Little Sister's. See you there!

I shan't wish you luck since talent and luck are not on the same paradigm. (IMO). Although it is nice if they cross paths. How about some Blessings?

That is a beautiful setting you have to perform in and I know you are going to fill it with beautiful music. If you don't mind a suggestion for recording. Perhaps you could rent a professional video camera which also captures good audio for the day.
Just a thought,
Dio

(!) *WOOT* (!)

I'm *really* happy for you, G !

There had best be a video being made of this....YouTube, JUB and the world at large eagerly await this !

As someone who used to play keyboards and sing for weddings and such, I very much *know* what you are feeling right now.

Don't let the 'butterflies' win, is my best advice.

You have the gift of musical talent, and *that* is much stronger than most anything else. Get to a place in your head where you are not playing the music so much as the music is 'playing YOU', and you'll be just fine.

B#= C nat., you know... ;)

Break a leg at the concert tomorrow! You'll be amazing, I'm sure!!

(Don't forget, play to the cutie in the front row.)

"If you're not nervious, you're not ready." Can't remember who said that. Maybe one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Kick butt tonight.

I'm just anxious to hear how everything went -and kinda hoping we don't hear a word from him until late tomorrow (if you know what I mean).

My overall impression of your concert was that it went well. I'm going to be completely objective about this -- you just played so beautifully -- even better than the preview you did for a select few a couple of months ago! Ed and I were just talking that at some point while you were playing "All My Life" (the last piece before the intermission), we thought we heard bells echoing throughout the church, and we realized it was the way you played that sounded like melodic bells (I had to look up the church to see if there are indeed bells, but of course, there weren't).

"Nicki's Bit" was a big surprise -- I haven't heard that before. It was short, yet compelling.

I still loved "Reach." I think I told you it's one of the main reasons why I joined the choir -- when you played it the first time it was just so beautiful that I had to get a recording of that piece, and the only way I could get it is to join the choir and pester the person who did the audio recording. I did, and plucked out that song from the whole concert.

You did very well, Ger--I was a bit teary-eyed in a couple of pieces. I do hope this doesn't deter you from performing more concerts in the future because the world just simply DOES NOT HAVE A CLUE of the stunning original pieces you're playing.

BRAVO!!!!!!

Congratulations are in order! Wonderful pictures and beautiful review!

Congratulations on your first concert!

Remember that you will get better at this as you do more, it is very normal to feel that way.

I do have similar feelings about a lot of my art work. And people constantly telling me how great it is. I don't see it, so I don't sell it.

But I still enjoy making it and sharing it with friends and loved ones.

So keep at it! the more you practice the better it will get!!!
(*8*)

And please, when you go on tour, stop over here so I can see you performing live!

Congratulations. :) Wish I could have been there. Instead, I had the option of seeing these guys play instead. Not quite the same, I'm betting.

I've never met any musicians who have been totally satisfied with their performance. The better they are, the less satisfied they tend to be.

Yes, I'm forced to agree. Don't let such feelings stop you from doing another show in the fall. Word will get out about your amazing talent. Not sure if you did it this time, but perhaps a press release sent to Xtra West. Include your picture too. You're definitely a handsome fellow! Thanks to isawmanok for the pics!
