I don't know if anyone else is watching this series/mini-series, but I would highly recommend it. It can be a bit "fake' at times, given the overuse of a green screen in particular scenes, but the storyline and characters are interesting enough that you can overlook some bad special effects.

It's based on a book of the same name, which I must admit I haven't read, and it's around it's fifth episode at the moment. For those interested, it's a story that takes place in England after the King's only heir dies out at sea. The story then covers competing interests; from the nephew who wants the throne, to a prior in a monk who is simply trying to build a new church...

Again, it has a wonderful cast and the story is quite interesting.

But for those of you who need a little more, these two are main characters and I can't decide which one is the better looking of the two, so you can watch it just to have that argument if you'd like, but please, do yourself a favour and check this one out...

Sam Claflin who plays Richard:

I'm reading the book and I love it!! It is absolutely amazing..
I heard about the series but didn't know it was already on air...
I'm definitely gonna watch it..

does anyone know where I can find torrents for the 3rd and 4th episodes?? I downloaded the first 2 and found a couple for the other episodes but they turned out to be not working...

anyone ??

I don't know about any torrents, I watch it on demand through my cable box...

Everyone should read the book, it has become one of my all time favorites. Also the sequel world without end is pretty good.

I'm caught up, finished watching the first five episodes on Netflix/Starz. I think the series is really great. I don't want to give anything away, but if the good guys don't get a break soon, I'm going to have an aneurysm. I also hope Waleran, William, and his bitch mother die the most horrid, painful, and humiliating deaths imaginable.

^^^^ lol... yeh I had the same feeling while reading the book... you'll have to wait til the end and see what happens....

The Books are both good, and historically not too bad. Glad to hear the miniseries is good too. I also found that the "good guys" really didn't get too many breaks in the story, but I couldn't put the book down.

I watched the first 3 episodes of the series and although it is pretty good two things were off about it:

a: Richard's ear gets cut off by Walter while William is raping Aliena, just like in the book.. but in the 3rd episode, his ear is back to normal! no scar or anything!!

b: and more importantly, in the 2nd episode it's strongly suggested that William Hamleigh has an incestuous relationship with his mother, Regan... The book does not at all refer to anything of the sort... And I don't like this new sub-plot...

I guess you could say that Prior Phillip and Jack both got a helluva break. They are still alive, as of episode 5, at least. I forgot about that.

Am liking this series but I am extremely disliking the Alfred actor. Just weird looking and annoying to look at.

Regan, the bitch mother, got just what she deserved in episode seven. I almost clapped.

Does anybody know if there's going to be a season two? If not, they sure have a lot to cover in the next/last episode.

^^^ - Nope. I thought that it said Series Finale. I think that it was just a short mini-series.

Loved the final episode. I was very happy to see William and Waleran get what they deserved. I would rather they be torn apart by the angry crowd, but at least they died.

And who would have thought 'you will climb very high only to fall' would be so literal...

yeh it is just a miniseries... but there's a sequel to the book World Without End and I read somewhere they might turn that into a miniseries as well..
