I think that I try to be cordial most of the time, but once in awhile it seems appropriate to say what I think needs to be said. Even then I don't think that I am rude. I'm afraid to vote because I am almost always nice, but do want to leave room for an exception.
 
There are some genuinely bad problems with how people interact on this board. And I mean downright heinous.

I'd love to believe this were made in good faith but I don't. What does being 'nicer' even mean? How will members achieve that goal?
If this is something you earnestly care about then this one thread can only be the beginning. Present mechanisms for being nicer, such as conflict resolution strategies. Seek out ways to build morale. Cultivate.
