"Moonglow" sung by Frances Langford, whose voice actually sounds like moonlight.

Greenough Park click "More pictures" at the bottom of the page. I haven't been able to take a trip through in years. The pictures don't really do the park justice. It's far more beautiful.

Good point. I don't altogether agree about those two pictures but it's certainly true that you read the same scene in different ways. You might interpret the darkness as threatening whereas someone else might see it as restful. Suppose you replace the Frances Langford song with different music?

One of the United Kingdom's great composers. Albert Ketelbey's works are out of fashion....but are useful for reducing anxiety levels.

This clip includes fabulous paintings by Robert Duncan of Utah much appreciated by me.

I'm sick. Or something. Not sure what the problem is, exactly. On Friday, it felt like something was in my right ear, which occasional shot down into my jaw. On Saturday, it felt like sonebody had punched me in the right eye. And today, it feels like someone whacked me behind the head with a sandbag. I'm guessing it's an ear infection of sone kind, but that's all it is - a guess.

I'm finding a bit of peace and solitude in a record my parents used to play.

With rareboys painting/picture,my mind immediately went straight back to my childhood and swimming in a small lake.I was around 12 years old and we would swim till sunset. The chair up on the wood table reminded me of the dock we would dive off of.Weird, how the mind works.Heres a google snapshot of the lake.I miss the fun we had there.

kallipolis...I love all Robert Duncan's work. The old out buildings, barns(I adore old barns) and landscaping of farms and animals and children.

MDL...I admit I was afraid to click on that with my headphones on,but was pleasantly surprised :)

lucky...never heard of Tim Minchin, but he sounds funny with a good voice.

Feel better Lex...

Some beautiful stuff posted guys.I will listen more as the mood strikes me.Thanks very much. :)

I think the best things I can contribute to this thread when it comes to peace and tranquility is some more of the peaceful music that I listen to, so I'll just continue doing that if people don't mind. :p

Three versions of the tune "Repton" by C H H Parry. My favourite is the piano solo.

Robert Duncan's paintings are for me evocative of American rural life, and perhaps a little too Utopian for many.

Nevertheless the farms, and barns, landscapes, and animals speak harmoniously to my better nature.
