  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

The post here when you want peace and tranquility thread.

Thanks for keeping the thread alive guys :) I have a bad habit of neglecting my own threads.I'm forever multitasking.I have listened to everything in this thread and will check back on it.

MDL... Interesting song and lyrics.I used to love stuff like that. Now a days I feel like I need to always have an association when I listen to something new. And I'm always late.Sometimes I like something many months...years later.

Took me right back to church Essex Boy...love the piano version.

Very nice tarallucci...

Great picture rareboy ...

Patrick Cowley's music always relaxes me, especially this song. It's his music that my local Gay bar should be playing, not that "pop princess" crap.

One of my favourite channels on Youtube is Jun's Kitchen. His short videos show him and his cat and the way he makes some beautiful, colourful Japanese food and cute inquisitive kitty regarding everything Jun does.

Scientifically, the most relaxing music ever. Weightless by Marconi Union..

Alexander Glazunov is one of my favourite Russian composers whose works reflect romance at its most melodic.

This beautiful piece is from his Seasons, Autumn, Petit Adagio

Hey star...if I didn't tell you....love the video with the kitty

mikey...good stuff

kallipolis...so beautiful and gentle...thanks everyone...:)

Dimitri Tiomkin was one of the great film music composers of Hollywood's golden age.

This selection of Tiomkin's score is from the Korda Bros produced "The Thief of Bagdad 1940" in my opinion the definitive film version, always winging me into a dream world remote from the cares of everyday routine.

I am going to correct my previous post by replacing the gifted Dimitri Tiomkin whose music I have been listening too over the past hour, with the actual composer of the music to The Thief of Bagdad, another genius whose compositions I adore, Miklós Rózsa.

^Rather different, and soothing with the further thought that the rhythm harmonises well with my current mood.

These two songs give a peaceful and mysterious vibe.

^ I just accidentally discovered a couple other songs in the Oxygene series back in 2015, when playing through miscellaneous records I didn't know anything about. I definitely liked the discovery. Your Aplex Twin was a welcome find, too.

I'll reciprocate with these two. The first one has a rather remarkable coincidence in my lifetime, which I won't go into here (tl;dr), but involves the guy I have the budding relationship with. I actually assign it to a much higher level - not a coincidence, but a DPJ (Divine Practical Joke) - "...because God has a sense of humor." Again it's way into tl;dr territory but it's in my most recent blog entry from last year.

The second just happens to be something from a group that I really like, and I could go on and on (such as "Echoes" by Pink Floyd), just so much great music out there.
