My brothers wedding yesterday was awesome and had tons of fun. I didn't know I had so much dancing in me, but it made my boyfriend happy.

My PC seemed to be shitting the bed today, so the boyfriend and I went out and I bought a new laptop. On it right now and digging it. Also it being a touch screen is a bonus.

Yeah, I'm having an awesome day. I just got my apartment cleaned up so I could have a buddy over. I haven't had anyone over aside from my boyfriend (who lives here) or one of my sisters in years.

My oldest nephew disappeared a week ago. Today, his 18th birthday, he contacted us and is now with me.

Also my mother had a doctor appointment today with a skin doctor to see if she had cancer. The doctor came in, looked at it for a couple seconds and said it was just a growth. No need to even test it.

Lastly, I got to have prime rib tonight for dinner for my nephew's birthday. Prime rib rocks!

Today has the makings of being a good one. We are having a full renovation of the bathroom. New toilet, sink, bath with overhead shower. And new floor covering, the downside, we will need to repaint once the work has been completed.

Today was a good day. I was okayed for Medicaid so in the future I will have less copays and they may be able to help me get some things, like a rollator. Unfortunately they don’t help with all of the medical bills I already got. I also get more hours for my homecare helper to help me. I also saw my doctor and she is going to talk to a mental health doctor to see what can be done about my depression getting worse. I also set up an appointment for tomorrow for me to see a dentist. I have not seen one since 2012.


I also am doing okay since my stimulator was placed. I don’t have the coverage I hoped for, but I can now walk about a half mile without crying from pain in my back and knee. The pain is however radiating up my back so I am still hurting. I can stand a bit longer now too. My most notable achievement though is I gave up my oxy. After 10 years of being on them I decided to try and deal with the pain without narcotics.

I think I love Scotland....

I am part Scottish...and I have four different friends that go there once a year...and I already have a positive view of the country anyway....

...but reading the tweets they sent to Donald Trump gave me a hard on. I had no idea they had such razor sharp wit...DAMN...and they can tell off somebody waaaaaayyyy better than anyone else I have seen....KUDOS!

I am still happy after taking two guests on a walk back to our 30 acre woodland at the back of the farm. It ties into a continuous network of woodlands to the north.

It was scorching hot walking the 3/4 mile up through the fields to get there....but the good news is that all the new trees that were planted this year aren't dead from drought (although a lot are).....

But the woods...which had been logged out in the 60's and then allowed to have cattle in them for about 20 years before we bought the farm are just spectacular.....there is a canopy about 100 feet tall of maples and Beech and the floor is now a carpet of ferns and wildflowers. This was the first time that we had walked back to the north woodland in about 3 or 4 years and taken the time to have a really good look around at how everything was growing an changing.

The most amazing change though was where we had restored the stream to the south of the woods has become more of a wetland instead of a pond as the vegetation has grown in. It was just hopping with frogs and alive with birds. Didn't see any of our herd of deer but saw their lay down areas in a couple of spots.

It has made me realize that I need to get used to walking back and forth there more often and not focus entirely on the restoration of woodland to the west of the house.

Tomorrow is going to be a very emotional day for me. My wife goes into the hospital for her allogenic stem cell transplant, and my youngest daughter graduates junior high. My eldest daughter graduates high school the following day. Thankfully my fella is coming tonight to help me over the next few days. He is taking the wife to the hospital so I won't miss my little one's grad. Today everyone is just quiet and reflective. And I got a bucket of KFC.

Finally someone got hired who seems to be very eager to work and it is a 50 some year old guy, former Military who works another job in the evenings. He has been here 2 days and has shown more initiative than other people who have worked there longer and again, this is a guy who doesn't even need this job. He literally wants to work in the morning because he was bored in the mornings and wanted to do something different.

This has made me very happy at work today.

Treated myself to palmiers with fresh cream and strawberry jam. I've not felt this naughty in a long while!

Of course the cream is working it's charm, rude noises and hilarity. I feel like an old fart tonite, lol.

It was pretty cool, played a game where I was a spaceship pilot in the cockpit. Was pretty surreal but very immersive, it was hard to concentrate on one thing though because there was a lot going on, especially considering you get into a battle.

Everything did really feel like it was right there. 3D and all. Definitely considering it depending on what we will be out for it.
