  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

The post here when you're having a good day thread.

I have an appointment for a job interview. Hopefully it will turn out to be something decent this time.

I'm having a great week! Time off and celebrating with friends and family.

This is the first day when I really enjoyed being retired.

Spent the morning on household chores knowing that I didn't have to do everything in one day.
Had a pleasant stroll in the sunshine admiring all the "Belle Epoque" buildings on my way to the cinema.
Came home on the tram surrounded by a wide range of different people trying to guess which males were gay.

Now I am settling in for the evening with a glass of wine and a ratatouille pasta for dinner.

I don't feel guilty being on JUB rather than doing something beneficial.

I've had to tip toe around a tricky situation but I think I managed to feel better about it now my worries are less on account of recieving more information. Can relax a bit tonite crisis averted.

I finally finished installing my pot lights in my basement apartment. They look great and yes, I did it all by myself. My man cave is almost complete. But it gets better...
Remember last winter when my wife crashed my car into a snow bank? She knocked out the two fog light louvered mouldings on each side and the audi dealership wanted $400 a piece to replace them, $800 total, so I just left them. Well, just for the heck of it I checked ebay again today and, low and behold, I found some. I got a whole set, brand new, for just...$20 US. TWENTY FUCKING BUCKS!!!!! Woo hoo!! I am sooo happy. I'll have them within the week. Oh, and I found a great pair of vintage mid-century Stiffell brass lamps at Goodwill for $3. Me likes them too. Yay!!

What is "Make Digital Love" ? Is it a website ... etc ?

I think it's a refference to computer generated porn.

Didn't see this until now, I love Daft Punk.

Make Love and Digital Love are 2 of my favorite songs of theirs. I thought the username would be pretty perfect for an online handle.

As for having a good day, I have off, watched a couple Dr. Who episodes, got some gaming time in and had a bowl of Raisin Bran which is my favorite cereal.

I knew you're totally un-American! :p

Since retiring I must admit that even if my days are not full of exciting events they are still pleasurable.

Even going out shopping takes me along the sea front which is breath taking as are the multitude of young men I pass. :D

When I was diagnosed with Waldenstrom disease I did think that dying would not concern me too much.

Now here I am sitting in my kitchen over flowing with happiness whilst my evening meal simmers on the hob.

The joy living here makes living worth while.

That's awesome to hear dpnice.

My day started off on a not so good point, but once work got started and over, it's been a pretty good relaxing day.

This is the first Sunday in 2 months that I'm not at work at this time. It's nice to be just sitting here watching a French zombie movie on netflix and going over some things... for tonight. I'll be working overnight tonight.

The real reason why today is a good day for me is because this is (hopefully) the last weekend I have to work.

I had a great nap with my cats and got a few more chapters of The Mystery of Fu Manchu read before nodding off.

Lazy day.

I find that the simple pleasures are the best, in the summer I sit on my deck and look at the trees, watch the birds and squirrels and
listen to the children play. Just witnessing life is a pleasure, I truly wish you a merry Christmas :D

Seriously love Amazon.

I was having a real block on what to get people for Christmas this year and today I sat down and just forced myself to browse around the internet to get ideas and I did. Finished all my Christmas shopping and I am happy with the selections I made. People asked for pretty neutral gifts, but I didn't go that route and got things based on what they like.

Organising my new flat exactly the way I want is providing a pleasure that I had forgotten existed.

I spent an hour just admiring my new wardrobes, I went out shopping in town and returned to a glass of wine and chicken fried rice.

The whole day has left me with a smile on my face.
