Living on a hill during an ice storm...

I was in college in Portland and in class at the next-to-lowest spot in campus when an ice storm hit. In the time that class took there was a half-inch of ice plastered onto everything. When class ended there was no way at all to use the sidewalks, we got creative: since the ice on the grass was suspended above the ground by the grass blades, one of the guys with heavy boots volunteered to lead, stomping low spots into the ice, and the rest of us followed. When we reached a steeper portion he had to turn and make sideways footprints -- I was third in line and when he tried to keep stomping straight ahead the guy ahead of me and I caught him. I recommended cutting across the slope, and that worked though the guy in second spot had to help him balance as the ice just got thicker.

When the ice storm got over and it was all melting, the last thin around was that line of footprints: every one of those depressions we'd made had filled with freezing rain and became a blob of ice!

^ Funny? Oh, like "real life is some funny thing!"

Fashion choices aside :vomit: I'm [obviously  ] so much like the two ones to the left
Well, now maybe only the one at the top (no pun).

Suspenders, sweater vests, rims, [clip] bow tie, parted hair, 'dress' shirt (yes, I know, turtles are no[t much] better)...
