It's interesting how Gary Larson in over 99% of his Far Side series will not show human eyes with pupils, as a method of making his characters into caricatures, but in the very few where he breaks this rule, it is almost always with a figure like the one here, with crazy eyes. And, he will do just the opposite with animals, in order to humanize them.

True genius as an artist.
