The post something funny thread

I wonder if she used one of her lifelines to call her gay brother.

And the censors would bleep out his response like crazy when he said "Sure, a glory hole is where a man sticks his cock through a hole in the wall for another man to suck it."
But I'm pretty sure the slang term evolved from an extant term unrelated, an intentional corruption from another domain.

So what is the correct choice?
The meme shows choice C highlighted, which is correct. The term was applied to the specific kiln used in glassblowing because the hole emitted a fierce light (it is theorized.) That occurred during the Industrial Revolution, when the term "glory hole" had already been used in sarcastic slang to refer to cramped hovels, so the application of the term to the hole in a glass furnace may have indeed been tongue-in-cheek (no pun intended) when describing the hell within the furnace.

I didn't know the orgin, but had guessed it.

I've always known a glory hole to be a small hole in any furnace wall, so the operator can see the colour of the interior - from that a certain skill lets you estimate the temperature.

Looks like an altar boy bordello, or a place that produces that sort of porn.
I see these suburban homes here with grandiose brick pediments flanking the driveway entrances, sometimes with as much brick is in the house itself. Faded glory, or just bourgeoise pretentions. Laughable.
