We’re all familiar with the Peanuts characters, since the cartoon has been around for a long time. We’ve all seen the Charlie Brown specials that were made in the 60s. But I think it might be interesting to answer the question “Where are they now?” This is how their lives have gone.
Charlie Brown: Married Lucy, who constantly berated him for being a loser. They had a highly dysfunctional codependent relationship, where Lucy would pull the adult equivalent of pulling the football away from Charlie, by setting him up to fail. To deal with the stress of her bossy and manipulative personality, Charlie Brown turned to pornography and masturbation. Divorced.
Lucy Van Pelt: Became a famous celebrity psychiatrist. She was especially well known for going on television talk shows with her crusade against men who watch pornography and masturbate. Had a messy public divorce from Charlie Brown, took their kids and enrolled them in a tony boarding school in the Berkshires.
Schroeder: Became a classical pianist. A confirmed bisexual, he had a number of affairs with both men and women. Now married to a trans ballet dancer. Has consistently rebuffed Lucy’s attempts to contact him, having to constantly block her numbers. Having found little demand for classical pianists, Schroeder has been forced to take gigs on cruise ships and in retirement communities. “I wanted to play Beethoven, but I have to do Liberace,” he laments.
Peppermint Patty: Once gave Charlie Brown a hand job in a car. That was before she discovered her true love, when she spent a full night of carpet-munching bliss with her friend Marcie. Patty had a brief career as a professional tennis player before settling down as an insurance agent, specializing in policies covering high-risk sports injuries. Now happily married to Marcie, who works as a librarian.
Pig Pen: Became a sanitation worker. His hygiene has not improved as an adult, as he doesn’t bother to shower after work. Had an affair with Lucy, whose fix-it obsession would not let her pass up an opportunity to work on his personality. Feeling strangely attracted to Pig Pen’s crude and grungy ways, Lucy found herself compelled to keep putting out for him, until she had a child out of wedlock with him. By the time she finally realized she couldn’t change him, Lucy had to contend with the damage to her reputation as an advice expert.
Snoopy: Still going after the Red Baron. He takes his doghouse on flights with his friend Woodstock, who constantly chatters in a language only Snoopy can understand. He can be seen shooting down drones over public parks on weekends.
