Which brings up the question, does Superman EMIT X-rays, or is he simply capable of seeing in the X-ray spectrum?

Write to those guys in the back of the comic books who sold the X-ray eyeglasses. They should know.

I always figured he could see that frequency. Like birds and bugs can see ultraviolet.

I was a kid. I never gave a thought to how X-rays work or what aliens can do, beyond what the plot told me. It was a simpler time.
