Actually, I still GREATLY prefer to do this whenever possible. At least everything printed in the Yellow Pages **EXISTS** at the time it is printed. Trying to look up "yellow pages" online brings up anywhere between 30% to 95% *BOGUS* non-existent listings, and what is there is invariably horribly incomplete.

About eight or nine years ago I wanted to contact all the antique stores around Little Rock, Arkansas to look for something. I had no LR phone book, so I used an internet Yellow Pages search...then I wrote LETTERS (yeah, postal mail) to every antique shop listed in that Little Rock "yellow pages" INTERNET directory.

Though it was allegedly current, as there was no disclaimer saying otherwise, about 70% of the letters I wrote were RETURNED to me, not deliverable. Of the ones that didn't get returned, I have no idea how many of THOSE went to "new" occupants who had been at that address since the antique shop vacated it 4 or 11 or 35 years ago.

As another example, Adrian, say you're looking for hotels. Let's pick some town that doesn't have very much...OK, let's say Reform. Searching for HOTELS in Reform, Alabama...will bring up pages and pages and pages of links to hotel sites, NONE of which exist close to Reform at all (except for the perhaps two or three mom-and-pop ones that may actually be in such a small town...and NO guarantee that any of THOSE will even show up at all).

The closest hotel in some particular chain might be in Ocala, but it will still show up in the Reform, Alabama search - probably.

SAME SHIT that I run into much more often, there are times I want to look up a radio station. Even if it is a radio station that has NO WEBSITE AND NO STREAM, thousands of links will show up for it, including links to nonexistent streams on every audio player in the world, etc.

Dammit, I HATE trying to search for accommodations, local services, etc. on the internet.
